  • Q:

Can this product be used under nail down hardwood flooring? I have a low spot on my plywood subfloor that is larger than I would want to fill with a fixall type product. If not, any recommendations? thanks

    • CUSTOMER CARE

      A:

      No.

Subfloor for solid hardwood or naildown engineered needs to be within 3/16" in 10’ or 1/8" in 6' variance. Options are Sand high areas or joints, use wood shims wedged between joists and the subfloor to raise it. Protruding nails/staples should be ground flat. Build-up low spots with layers of 15 lb builders felt, old vinyl, plywood or shims (do not use cement leveling compounds).
