Comments about Williamsburg Butcher Block Co. 3/4" x 4" x 8 LFT Maple Backsplash:
We hired a guy to install these for us, but we were able to help with it and he didn't seem to have any trouble putting them in (though he said it was the hardest wood he ever cut - probably a good thing).
We've opted for the mineral oil treatment of the surface, so each week as we oil them they get a deeper, richer luster.
So far we are very happy with them and think they should be good for years and years. Hopefully the design is somewhat timeless and they can work with any other design changes we might decide upon.

I"m using the butcher-block as a layout surface in my wife's sewing room. It did state unfinished but I didn't expect the large differences in thickness width and height that I received.

A very rugged piece of wood, though it was not cut straight at the factory, and it had a piece of block missing at the end. overall it was solid and the customer loved it.

Comments about Williamsburg Butcher Block Co. 3/4" x 4" x 8 LFT Maple Backsplash:
My contractor messed up configuring my quartz countertops so there was a gap. I bought a length of butcher block and had it installed and the look is fabulous. Happy accident! They look so great, I ordered more and replaced the countertops in my rental property in all butcher block. Be aware you will need to seal the wood. I used linseed oil.

It's great to have the countertop on hand as my husband gets each cabinet done. Easy to install and finish with food-safe oil. Perfect, in fact!
