Comments about Builder's Pride 3/4" x 3-1/4" Maple:
This floor went down on my main residential floor approx. 500 sq ft. Was easy to lay out, and install. Loved the consistency of the dimensions from box to box. Finish was also consistent. Final product was terrific. Very happy to use it. Would definitely use it again.

Comments about Builder's Pride 3/4" x 3-1/4" Maple:
The overall finished product looks good. However, I was disappointed in the height differences from board to board. I thought they would be more consistent. Even with the bevel, it is clear that many boards next to each other are a different height.

Remind contractor that not all pieces are the same width (it will create slight gaps). Remind contractor that it dents easily so PLEASE be careful and don't drop things on it!

Comments about Builder's Pride 3/4" x 3-1/4" Maple:
During my previous installation of 10 boxes, I found there was a lot of variation in board width. After realizing the problem, I had to separate the boards into 3 different width groups. Once matched, the boards could be installed with less gaps. That part of the floor looked great but you shouldn't have to match boards to get them too look good

I just had my entire kitchen redone and replaced my old ripped vinyl floor with hardwoods. The room looks twice as big. I love the look so much, I am planning to take out the carpet and continue the hardwoods in my living room and hall.

Comments about Builder's Pride 3/4" x 3-1/4" Maple:
I gave this an average rating because it is Average grade, cuts, price, and finish.
The floor has alot various tones of maple wood. Several boxes had real dark maple which ended up in bedroom closets.
The installation went smooth, just watch your end cuts and warpage. I had alot of poor end cuts with this order.
I installed the floor in bedrooms and family room.
PROS:
The floor looks great throughout, I personally like the various tones of maple. Getting rid of the carpet has helped allergies alot. Cleaning is easy with a duster.
Get the quality underlayment!!!!!
CONS:
Hardwoods will scratch- pads on furniture and rover will help.
Some shrinkage in wood, would recommend letting sit at room temp/humdity a little longer than the 10 days I did. Only negative comment I received from others was various tones.
This floor turned out good and was in my budget. Wish i could have stepped up to the bella select, but thats life.

I bought this wood to go in my little condo and it looks absolutely perfect. The lightness of the wood (with it's wonderful maple contrasts) makes my home look larger and it's nice to walk on. [...]

Q:
What is the suggested method for cleaning the flooring?1 answer
A:
We can only recommend our Bellawood Floor Cleaner, or cleaners that are safe for water based urethane finishes. Never use any polish, wax, oil soaps or cleaners that add shine to the floor.Q:
How long after installation does it have to sit/settle before putting furniture in place?1 answer
A:
No need to wait for this nail down product.Q:
Is this wood grown in the USA? How does the Builder's Pride brand compare with the Bellawood? What is the average length of the wood pieces? What is the shortest length and how many really short pieces (12" or less) are in each box? Thank you.1 answer
A:
This material is grown in the US, the Builders Pride does not have as many coats of finish as the Bellawood does and the Bellawood will come with a 100 year transferable warranty. The boards will range from 12" to 72" and each box will vary with boards of different lengths, we have no way of knowing how many of each length will be in each box, sorryQ:
What is the Tabor rating on the finish? Is this flooring FSC certified?1 answer
A:
Minimum 550 cycles.Q:
We are installing this in our kitchen, entry way and dining room. We have MDF board in the dining room. Lineoleum in kitchen. We have to make rooms even. What would you suggest for underlayment. Plywood first, then felt? No moisture issues.1 answer
A:
Yes, 1/2" minimum ply wood (CDX) then 15 lb roofing felt.Q:
Is this product suitable for concrete base underneath? Can it be glued onto contrete or do I need to install plywood in between the contrete and the wood flooring. I'm installing on a 3rd floor room, not the basement, so should moisture be a concern? Do you recommend I buy your engineered wood flooring product instead of this for installing and glueing on concrete. Thanks.1 answer
