  • Q:

How do I clean this floor?
Asked on 10/24/2016 by Joyce from NYC

    • Staff Reviewer

      A:

We can only recommend our Bellawood Floor Cleaner, or cleaners that are safe for water based urethane finishes. Never use any polish, wax, oil soaps or cleaners that add shine to the floor. In addition, we do not recommend using steamers or wet-jet cleaning systems for hardwood because spraying can collect moisture in between board edges. The use of these products is at your own risk. Thank you for your inquiry.

  • Q:

What type of rug pad do you recommend for this floor? 8'x10' area.

      A:

Choose non slip rug pads in natural felt or all natural rubber that are approved for urethane finished floors. Key word is "Natural" synthetic cushion cans chemically react to the finish.

  • Q:

Installing this floor and want to fabricate a threshold. Where can I purchase the stain to touch up the piece we make?

      A:

Unfortunately this stain is not available in a can for retail sale. I would recommend bringing a scrap piece of the flooring (and a piece of the wood transition you will be staining) to paint store and they should be able to match the stain for you. Thank you for your inquiry.
