Edges crumbled in your fingers. Cheap material and not worth the money spent. Looks good however was not very forgiving when it came to handling.

Comments about Dream Home - Nirvana 8mm Mill Town Antique Cherry Laminate:
Great product, easy to install, jury is out on wear.
I installed in my 26 foot camper, tends to get gritty. I like the tightness of the joints, hopefully the pattern wont wear through too quickly.

Comments about Dream Home - Nirvana 8mm Mill Town Antique Cherry Laminate:
Tricky to figure out how hard to tap for correct installation so several edges were chipped inadvertently. Now it appears that there are some we didn't tap hard enough!
The tongue and groove areas are less substantial than on the higher priced samples we had looked at and were easy to flake off due to our inexperience in installation.
Edges that butt up to one another now are either really good or show signs of separation. Time will tell if the floor kind of 'floats' together.
installation was not hard, but tricky.
For the very low cost it will serve its purpose. But if we need to replace, will go for a higher end line.

This Lumber Liquidators product is of much higher quality than similar products I have installed from the "big box" retailers. Very consistent fit between boards, indicating close manufacturing tolerances and excellent quality control. Highly recommended.

Comments about Dream Home - Nirvana 8mm Mill Town Antique Cherry Laminate:
Great floors, have put them throughout most of our house. Be sure to wipe up spills quickly as it seems water can warp the the edges.
Service and delivery comments:
We have ordered these floors twice. The second time over half of the 23 boxes we ordered were the same pattern. This is VERY annoying. Be sure to inspect ALL the boxes and sort out the patterns BEFORE you begin. We ended up with one room having over half of the room with the same pattern.

My wife and I really like this pattern but are hesitant to use an 8mm flooring for our newly remodeled basement floor. Is it OK to use 8mm flooring in a temperature controlled basement?1 answer
A:
Yes it can. With proper installation and care this flooring will last for years in this application. You can find complete care and installation instructions on the product page by clicking on the specs tab and then clicking on - Installation Guide.pdfQ:
I have a seasonal cabin without any heating or cooling. There are wood subfloors currently and the floor is several feet off the ground. Will this type of flooring hold up when winters get below freezing? If not, any ideas?1 answer
A:
Our Prefinished flooring products are not recommend to be installed in a home that is not climate controlled year round. Most of our products require the temperature of the home to be kept between 60F to 80F with humidity between 35% to 55%. However, we do sell unfinished quarter/rift sawn flooring that would make for a good choice in a seasonal home as long as the flooring is acclimated properly and a good penetrating finish is applied to protect the flooring in that environment.Q:
I would be placing this on the first level of my home, sub floor, would you have to add anything additional for padding/barrier or can we just start laying the product down?1 answer
A:
No additional padding is needed but you may want to put down a layer of 15 lb roofing felt to protect from potential moisture coming from below.Q:
Is this product good for a kitchen? How does it clean up? Does it take water without warping?1 answer
A:
Yes this product will do well in a kitchen. For everyday cleaning use a microfiber dust mop to pick up dust, grit, and pet hair off the flooring. You can also use a vacuum that is safe for wood flooring, but stay away from vacuums that have a beater bar. You also want a vacuum with good suction to get up the grit that may get into the v-groove or in the cracks between planks. Vacuums that are light weight and have a soft rubber, or felt bottom work great. Periodically use our Bellawood floor cleaner to add a little luster to the flooring, but be sure to dust mop first. The cloth on the bottom of the cleaner should be clean before using for best results. If you have a sticky spill just spot clean with warm water on a lightly damp cloth and immediately buff dry.Q:
I am installing this over hardwood, it will be on first floor.Do i need a moister barrier under the laminate.1 answer
A:
You could put down a layer of 15 lb roofing felt.
