For the most part all the boards had no blemishes, just a few I cutout. It would nice if the boxes were labeled with the shorter boards. It helps with the floor layout.
I installed a glued floating layout with Quiet-Walk underlayment. I'm happy with product and the overall looks of the floor.

Q:
Do you have a T molding in the Mocha Red Oak color ? joining to two rooms.1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Yes. Look under the "Accessories, Tools, and trim" section of page DURENMRO3.Q:
Can this floor be coated with a finish BEFORE it is put to use, as to provide an extra layer of protection.1 answer
A:
You could add additional finish, but this would void the finish warranty on the flooring and create extra expense for you after already buying a new floor with a 20, 30, or 50yr finish warranty. Adding a new finish won’t prevent all moisture from going into the seams. Wood will expand and contract with climate changes. If the flooring were to contract later and create seasonal gapping, a spill can cause water to get into the gaps. It is best to only add a new finish when the old finish starts to wear more than you like or if you have a lot of scratches you want covered up. We recommend that you use a professional sand and finish expert if you did decide to add a new finish to the flooring. Thank you for your inquiry.Q:

I'm considering purchasing the Schon engineered quick Clic in mocha red oak for my home, I have also looked at Shaws engineered flooring that has the DuraShield finish that claims to be 6X stronger than competitors which I like. Does the Schon product have a simular protective finish?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
We can't vouch for Shaws product, however our Schon finish is of highest quality. It has has 7 coats of Treffert or Klumpp (made in Germany) highly resistant polyurethane finish with aluminum oxide anti-scratch and a 55% gloss.Q:
We have a large 951b dog. His nails are trimmed every 6wks & our deck still shows signs of wear from his nails. How resistant is this floor to scratching or pets in general?1 answer
A:
Your best flooring alternative with 95 lbs dog will be the Bellawood line of products. Rather than a 25 - 30 yr warranty offered by other product lines, Bellawood offers a 100 yr transferable warranty as it has the thickest most durable finish in the market today.
