Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 3-1/4" Natural American Cherry:
natural grade included rich variation in color that highlights it is a real (meaning grown, not manufactured) wood product and the finish really brings out the colors. out of 250 square foot project i only had about 1 square foot of "rejected" boards that were too small, milling errors, split, etc. great product at great price

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 3-1/4" Natural American Cherry:
I installed this floor for a nursery. The color is beautiful, and the natural grade makes it a little more interesting looking.
Compared to the Brazilian Koa that I'm installing in the other parts of the house, the American Cherry seems to scratch easy. Our Vizsla can scratch it with little effort, while the Koa is much more durable.
The installation was easy, and I was able to do the whole room with very little waste, much less than the 10% rule of thumb. I'd guess somewhere around 1% waste.
There were a few boards that were not perfect, but I was still able to use those for the parts that needed to be cut.
The color will darken significantly when exposed to sunlight. It was so obvious that an uninstalled closet door that was leaned against the wall left a lighter mark where it was blocking the sun. This eventually faded. If practical, wait a couple weeks before putting furniture in the room to let it darken evenly.
For the price and ease of install, I definitely recommend this flooring. The color is very nice, and it's much more interesting than the oak that is so common.

There knowledge of the product was first rate. But there was not enough help in the store. Very slow to get in and out of but when you did get help it was good. Also the return policy is not very customer friendly.

Cherry is prone to "softness" compared to maple and oak, but very attractive, finish does scratch, dog and chairs etc, very pleased with the floor.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 3-1/4" Natural American Cherry:
American Cherry hardwood provides a beautiful color and richness to floors in any room. We had a professional install the flooring and it transformed the appearance of our home and beautified it instantly. Unfortunately, this type of wood is extremely soft and scratches very easily. We made the mistake of allowing our two small dogs (~28 lbs) to run inside the house and noticed deep grooves were cut into the flooring as a result of their nails. It is definitely not recommended if you have children or pets who are active.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 3-1/4" Natural American Cherry:
I was so excited to see the floor after it was installed by a professional--only to be very disappointed with the amount of sap wood on the edges. Gives the feeling that the wood has been damaged. I wanted the color variations and knots I had seen in the store but was totaly unprepared for the glaring white streaks on the edges that give a damaged look to the wood. The installer noted that in the 280 sq ft it was almost all short lenghts & only two 6ft boards in all. The first comment family and friends make upon seeing it is--What happended here! I'm ready to tear it out and put something else in--I absolutely hate it!!

We had a professional install this in our new master closet. It's about 8x10. We love it sooo much, that we are going to do the rest of the house in it as soon as we save the $$. It's really awesome looking.

Q:
That are the edge and end treatments on these boards? Additionally, the description states that the wood will darken with age but ALSO touts a UV coating in the finish (which would suggest that it will NOT darken). So... will it darken over time or not?1 answer
A:
All natural material wil go through a lightening or darkening phase within the first 12 months of the installation process, even with the UV coating. This process is call Patina and depending on the species is whether the floor will darken with time or lighten - our stained floors will not Patina as much as our natural floorsQ:
Which is a harder wood - Brazilian Cherry or Natural American Cherry? Which would be more durable for kitchen flooring?1 answer
A:
Brazilian Cherry has a Janka rating of - 2350
