The finish on the floor flaked easily and was easily dented by kitchen appliances. Other than that it is beautiful and is very difficult to instal.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 1/2" x 3-1/4" Natural Australian Cypress:
My wife and I chose this flooring for our kitchen and back hall when we built the home about 7 years ago. It looks as good today as when we first had it installed by the builder. Clean up is effortless (and we have spilled everything in the kitchen on it)! Usually a damp cloth is all that is required. We acquired a 60 lb dog about a year ago who eats in the kitchen area. You wouldn't know that anyone or anything had been walking on the floor by the looks of it even with our dog's long nails. I recommend this product to anyone I meet who is installing flooring. No regrets!!! I will try to upload some photos when I get time.

Be sure to put rubber pads under furniture to keep them from sliding all over the place. If not you will soon see scratches from pulling the furniture back up in place.

I was very happy with the price and the color of this product is beautiful. It does seem a little thinner than 1/2 inch but isn't. It just is a lot thinner than the flooring man that installed it has used in the past. He had to buy a new tool to install it. [...]

There is a film on the floor after I've cleaned it. I've tried orange glo daily cleaner, steam mops, vinegar water, regular water and I the film is always there. How can I clean my floor and get rid of this hazy film?1 answer
A:
We can only recommend our Bellawood Floor Cleaner, or cleaners that are safe for water based urethane finishes. Never use any polish, wax, oil soaps or cleaners that add shine to the floor. Our Bellawood floor cleaner does not contain any polishes ,wax or anything that will build on the surface and is recommended to be used on all our flooring products. I do hear of this scenario often enough and it always prooves out that there was another cleaning product used previously on the floor that is reacting to the Bellawood cleaner. Most likely once the residue is removed from the original factory finish the floor can be maintained easily. Thank you for your inquiry.Q:
