Australian Cypress Bellawood Floor: I did not install this myself and I recommend that you use a professional to do it. The floor is beautiful and has a rustic charm to it. The knots in the wood give it a wonderful look and it fits perfectly in my kitchen. I couldn't be happier about the final product. Well worth the price!

This flooring was the most uniform in color and characteristics than any flooring I have used

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 5-1/4" Natural Australian Cypress:
australian cypress worked well to compliment our existing medium-color stained (pine) trim because of the variance in color and knots.
the aluminum oxide finish has been very disappointing. I was told by the salesman that his parents had the same floor with big dogs and denied its susceptibilty to scratches but we have had floor only 2 weeks and it has numerous scratches from our medium sized dog and from hard shoes.
Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 5-1/4" Natural Australian Cypress:
Approximately 10% of the product had a white or creamy surface and had to be cut out before it could be installed. Not only did this cause extra time, labor and cost, but it made the floor have more short pieces than we would have liked and made the overall look less attractive.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 5-1/4" Natural Australian Cypress:
This is an absolutely beautiful flooring but buy more than the recommended extra 10% because we barely had enough to complete the project. We had a professional install it and he thought it was difficult to install. It split easily and the knots came out so he had to cut several boards down to not completely waste it. After we put it down, it seemed to scratch easily. We put felt on the bottom of all the furniture but somehow we still got scratches all over the floor. Frustrating since just had it installed.

Q:
I have tried everything to clean these floors. Everything leaves a film, streaking, etc and they never look clean, including the Bellawood floor cleaner. Suggestions?1 answer
A:
Our Bellawood floor cleaner does not contain any polishes ,wax or anything that will build on the surface and is recommended to be used on all our flooring products. I do hear of this scenario often enough and it always prooves out that there was another cleaning product used previously on the floor that is reacting to the Bellawood cleaner. Most likely once the residue is removed from the original factory finish the floor can be maintained easily. Thank you for your inquiry.Q:
Love the floor but it scratches really really easy. Is there anything that we could use to apply over the finish to harden the finish and make it more durable?1 answer
A:
Why doesn't the warranty cover scratches and dents?Q:
Can this be installed by floating?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Yes, but only if you use Elastilon Self Adhesive Underlayment as your installation system. For details type "Elastilon" here - www.lumberliquidators.com/custserv/aboutus.jsp?pageName=Flooring101Q:
I love my aust cypress, can I use that new shark steamvac on it? Shark specifies it must be a sealed wood.1 answer
A:
We do not recommend steam mops or Roomba Scooba robots on our laminates or on any of our wood floor products. Although appropriate for kitchen sheet vinyl or ceramic tiles, wood, laminate and cork floorings have raw seam edges that can swell or cup with use of these cleaning methods. We recommend our Bellawood Floor Cleaner, or cleaners that are safe for water based urethane finishes. Thank you for your inquiry.Q:
I was planing to install 3/4" x 5 1/4" Natural Australian Cypress in my lake cabin in Alabama but I have been advised that the 5 1/4" Cypress will "cup" over time and that I should use 3 1/4" Cypress instead. As this will be going in a large room I wanted a wider board. Will the 5 1/4" Cypress "cup"1 answer
A:
All wood flooring species will cup regardless of the width if it is exposed to excessive moisture.Q:
We are wanting to install in a two story condo unit and wondered if this is good choice to put on stairs?1 answer
A:
3/4" hardwood can be installed on stairs along with the matching nosing.Q:
Is this product "end matched"1 answer
A:
Yes it is.Q:
What is the recommended cleaning method for this flooring?1 answer
A:
We can only recommend our Bellawood Floor Cleaner, or cleaners that are safe for water based urethane finishes. Never use any polish, wax, oil soaps or cleaners that add shine to the floor. Thank you for your inquiry.Q:
what is the cost of instalation per square foot. If the wood is $7 plus labor and subflooring...what is the fully loaded price per square foot?1 answer

Can this wood be installed in a kitchen?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Yes. Hardwood, engineered, laminate (higher warranty laminate is better in high traffic areas like kitchens), cork, and bamboo is acceptable for installation in a kitchen, but we highly recommend you put a throw rug by the sink because an excess of water can damage any floor. Also you will need to wipe up any water as soon as possible.
