Schön Quick Clic engineered flooring is constructed with a real hardwood veneer atop a moisture-resistant HDF core (high density fiberboard) which is made from real wood fibers that are compressed into a dense, impact-resistant format. In addition to providing extra protection against denting, the HDF enables the most precise milling of the locking profile to enhance ease of use and long-term durability. Quick Highlights: Did you know? Don't forget the molding and stair treads!

Comments about Schön Quick Clic Engineered 7/16" x 4-3/4" Natural Hickory:
I had this professionally installed in my living and dining room. The variation in color is my favorite thing. I also like the wide planks. It doesn't seem so formal. I have dark furniture and wanted a light floor that would brighten up my rooms. This definitely did it. I truly love the look of it.

Installed in basement. Looks amazing. Install was easy. Just need to be careful putting sides together, as some material can keep it from going completely together. You just need to pull them apart and clean out any small pieces that are in there.

Comments about Schön Quick Clic Engineered 7/16" x 4-3/4" Natural Hickory:
This floor was much easier to install than the Kennsington Manor Lamminate 2 years ago, but during installation in room number 1 (I did 3 rooms) I saw that I had put an indentation/scratch on the newly laid floor, as this is a hickory and usually a harder wood, I was a bit upset as I didn't do anything out of the ordinary during installation with regard to tools on the floor. I looked down, and there was the indentation over two planks.
The color and finish I am extremely happy with and hope my problem does not lead me to regret as my daughters grow up and use the flooring every day, time will tell.

Comments about Schön Quick Clic Engineered 7/16" x 4-3/4" Natural Hickory:
We took the carpet out of our small bedrooms and installed this hickory floor. We have a 20 year old ash floor in our great room so we wanted something light that would flow. This floor was so easy for my fiance to install. It took him 2 days and his only tool was a handsaw. This wood is so beautiful and much harder than the ash. I wish Lumber Liquidators had been around when I built the house 20 years ago.

Comments about Schön Quick Clic Engineered 7/16" x 4-3/4" Natural Hickory:
This hickory flooring was unbelievably easy to install. I had the majority of it installed in a day. It took another couple hours to make the precise cuts the last row required, but it was definitely worth the effort. My only complaint would be that I spent the equivalent of a lot of money per square foot for the Bellawood t-molding as the transition between two rooms and it had a huge flaw at one end and a huge knot at the other, so it was difficult to find a 30" length from which to cut the threshold. I know I could have returned it for another strip of molding, but Lumber Liquidators stores are not conveniently located, and I was ready to be finished with this part of the redo.

Two years ago I remodeled my kitchen but didn't like the floors-combo of vinyl & carpet (kitchen, dining & living room one large open space). Reviewed various products at [@] just didn't have what I was looking for & very expensive. Reviewed LL products online decided on Schon engineered hardwood-Hickory. Let's just say I blew my remodel budget out of the water by adding the floors but to this day I don't regret the decision b/c it looks absolutely gorgeous. Recently, LL had sale on the same flooring I have now, price was just right & bought enough flooring for my master & spare bedrooms including closets. So now, every room in the house except bathroom has hickory flooring. Note: I didn't install floors myself, I hired a professional, he said installing floors were easy enough & had little to no problems.

Almost no waste; went down quickly and looks great. Only drawback is the store sample had a thicker layer of hickory than the actual product. Not sure I have enough product to re-finish in the future.

Comments about Schön Quick Clic Engineered 7/16" x 4-3/4" Natural Hickory:
This was so easy to install compared to some Engineered hardwood we installed years ago in a different home. There was only 1 warped board in 10 packages - and that was because we left it out in the rain! The only caveat is that you need to install the first 2 rows simultaneously to hook it all together or you will get frustrated.

Comments about Schön Quick Clic Engineered 7/16" x 4-3/4" Natural Hickory:
I have worked with laminate a couple of times before, but this engineered wood was absolutely awesome to work with compared with the laminates. We laid approximately 750 sq feet, livingroom, diningroom, kitchen and had left overs so decided to do the hall. We had very little waste as we used our cutoffs to start the new rows. There were 4 different sizes in each box, so if you applied a little strategy, everything went together well. We have 3 adults and 3 little children in the house and it has been easy to keep up. We did marr the surface some when we moved the refrigerator. Although we had a piece of cardboard under the fridge, it dented the floor when we moved it back into place. Next time it gets moved, we will have a piece of wood to pull it out onto.
Service and delivery comments:
We picked our flooring up ourselves, but the men had the pallet all wrapped and strapped. They just loaded it onto the trailer with their skid loader. They were very friendly and helpful whenever I visited the store while trying to make my decision.

Q:
can this prduct be installed on the ceiling . possibly with glue and staples1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
In theory yes. While we do not have any manufacturer's specifications on how to do ceiling or wall installations, we have had customers install on ceilings using Tongue and Groove flooring. One method used is to ring shank or screw plywood first on the rafters and then fasten flooring to plywood. Softer woods, lower profile (thinner), and engineered flooring would be easier to nail over your head. Fastening can be done with finish nailers or hand nailing. Ring shank nails can hold better than standard finish nails.Q:
Does this have a hand-scrapped look or is it a smooth finish?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
This is a flat floor, not hand scraped.Q:

Yes. The important thing is to follow the particular flooring manufacturer recommendations for radiant heat as well as sustaining recommended temperature and humidity. What is the recommended underlayment for installing engineered flooring for the following application? Two 3rd floor bedrooms of building that is in a historic district that currently has tung & groove 3/4" pine flooring. I'm trying to preserve the original flooring which is easily 125 years old. Sometime in the future, when I have the time, I plan on pulling the engineered floor and restoring the original floor, which I did do on the 2nd floor and is quite beautiful. Given the age and condition of the existing floor how do you recommend I proceed? Carpet is out of the question for me.1 answer
A:
I would recommend our fabric (felt) underlayments Insulament or Quiet walk and install the Schön Engineered Quick Clic over it.
