Best Uses
Used in entry hall & dining area. Looks great! The first LL recommended installer did not work out for us, but the second one was a winner.
No trim available in this choice so had to take Bolivian Rosewood, which was an acceptable alternative.
Only concern is some minor scratches & recently noticed a chip about 1/8" deep or so with no idea how it occurred. A bit concerning since the floor was only installed about 3 months ago. Had considered running it right into the kitchen & glad we didn't. Used porcelain tile there instead.
Service and delivery comments:
Store personnel very helpful. They could use more help though since wait can be long when they are busy.
Delivery as promised though a bit pricey. Pick up if you're able to do so.

Is this hardwood cut from a solid piece of wood or a composite and what happens as it ages? Does it get darker like Koa and Brazilian cherry? To what degree does it compare? We decided against either because they get so dark.1 answer

Yes it is solid wood. As wood ages it can changes from UV light exposure. Generally lighter wood turns dark and darker woods turn light. Changes are on par with most other wood flooring.Q:

This material is 20% harder than Red Oak which is the standard hardness all of our materials are compared to on the Janka scaleQ:
