Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 2-1/4" Natural Red Oak:
Second time installing the Red Oak Bellawood pre-finished 2 1/4 x 3//4. Installed with a manual Porta-Nail floor nailer and worked great. Bought 7 boxes for approx 140 sq. feet and only 1-2 warped boards total. Very easy to install and looks beautiful. Highest recommendation!!

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 2-1/4" Natural Red Oak:
I first purchased 800 SF of laminate and did one room. One week later I ripped it up and threw in trash and took unused back to store and purchased 800 SF of Red oak. One of the best decisions I ever made. You will love this stuff. They give you a wide assortment of lengths so there is very little waste. I used the padding underneath like they suggest. I used a staple gun to hold in place and used duct tape on seams. There were very few boards that were unusable due to defects. Open 2-4 boxes at a time so you get an assortment of colors and sizes. I used a small crow bar and square to protect wall to remove baseboards and then removed old nails. I had to go around fireplace hearth so I left a 3/4" gap on 3 sides and used threshold plank to finish.
Service and delivery comments:
Customer service was ok. Not sure if these guys ever actually installed them self. Order arrived in 7 days I picked up myself.

We have used Lumber liquidators several times and found that the prices are extremely resonable for what you get. They stand by their products. The whole transaction was easy, people were courteous on the phone and in person. We had a very positive experience and will work with LL again and again.

We loved having the floor pre-finished. Previously we had installed a wood floor downstairs and then hired someone to finish it. This was fantastic--once it was in it was all done. No mess, no smell, no dust....Just perfect.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 2-1/4" Natural Red Oak:
A very good product but quality control needs to be up graded. Quite a fuw peaces misssing toungs on end of boards, damaged edges right out of the box, large open knots on bottom of boards. Even with the flaws I encountered this is still one of the best flooring products I have ever used.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 2-1/4" Natural Red Oak:
We put this hardwood in a den that had been previously carpeted. The floor looks great..the pieces of wood were in excellent condition and went down without any problems. The only problem was when we moved the furniture back into the room, the sofa leg dented/scratched the floor when we turned it upright.

15b felt paper or Silicone Paper is recommended as a vapor barrier and to ease installation (boards slide together easier). For second floor or above red rosin paper is all that is necessary. For more information type, "LL Underlayment Guide" here - www.lumberliquidators.com/ll/flooring/Flooring101Q:

You can glue quarter round molding to the hearth with liquid nail or contact adhesive. Another option is undercut hearth with a mason jam saw and slip flooring under (leaving expansion gap).
