Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 5" Natural Red Oak:
The product is beautiful and seems very durable and well constructed . Hower the ratio of short pieces to long seems extreme. one or two long pieces (4ft0 or more is rather disappointing and requires more installation time

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 5" Natural Red Oak:
While the finish and overall wood quality is excellent, the dimensional quality is poor to unacceptable. Widths vary but as much as 1/8" and the t&g is not consistant. I now wish I had made a different choice.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 5" Natural Red Oak:
The floor looks great and makes the house look "more open".
Great color choice with a very high quality of shine and luster to the finish. I would recommend the same floor to all who have an interest in installing it.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 5" Natural Red Oak:
The floor came out beatiful, but there were many flawed pieced (small holes, crushed corners, etc.). My contractor worked hard to cut the bad spots and then use the pieces on the end so there was enough to finish the job.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 5" Natural Red Oak:
We originally bought this floor 8 years ago for our kitchen and family room. We recently added on and had to extend the floor in the FR and weave in the flooring where we removed a closet. The floor has held up so well that you couldn't tell the difference. It matched up beautifully. The fact that the wood is prefinished is a big advantage, as there is no wait time for sanding/ drying time. As a side note, the gentleman who helped me load it in my car was courtesy and professional.

My husband and I installed 4 bedrooms - the most difficult part is making sure your start line is plumb. After that it was easy. We love the look and ease of cleaning.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 5" Natural Red Oak:
I read everything I could on the internet about hardwood floors and their installation and I asked questions everywhere I saw it sold. We have never done hardwood floors before but we had all the tools needed. We had to buy a pneumatic hard wood floor nailer but we found one for less than [$]new including warranty. It took my cousin's husband and me eight days to finish 1200 square feet. I worked out of six boxes at all times. I wanted to save most of the long pieces for the living room, dining room and the kitchen but I realized there were many long pieces in the boxes and we could use some even in the bedrooms. I wanted to create a pleasing look, red oak has so many color combinations, so I chose each piece and I tried to find the size that fit the best at the end. We had very little scrap left over. I chose the pieces needed for a whole row and I cut them after he marked them but he did the nailing. A quarter of all was small pieces and we decided to do a bedroom only from those and it came out very beautiful. The pieces with knots we used in the closets. My cousin was so pleased with the outcome that they decided to use hardwood floors for their home also, one with less color variation, like the select grade. It was hard work but it was very satisfying as the rooms were beautiful when finished.
