My contractor's flooring guy put these in, so I can't speak to easy of install, but they look beautiful. He even managed to shape the edges for an open rail. Up close you can faintly see where the various blocks are joined to make up the tread on those edges, but at any distance it still looks good.

Could never keep my stairs clean with 3 dogs, child and husband. Now I just sweep it all away. The treads were very easy to install.
