I ended up with at least 30 square feet of material too much...the ordering computer insisted on sending 327, I needed 290 minimum square feet. I have at least 15 six foot sections left over. However, I will use them.

I went with this product because I wanted a colonial, rustic look....Ordered approx 300 sq foot and 90% of the wood was straight and defect free...Couple of pieces had damage/knots but i was able to use them in the closet area......What I liked was that for 53 dollars I had this fed exed to my door rather than pick it up in my ford van (460 V8) at the retail store 30 miles away....TY
very satisfied with product and the ease of installation

Comments about Clover Lea 3/4" x 5-1/8" New England White Pine:
We were building a loft apartment in our barn loft and wanted something a little rustic. This product went everywhere. On the ceiling and walls we used the 'v' groove side. We are currently using the square cut side for the flooring.
The ceiling and trim work received one coat of flat white paint, sanded then stained to distress finish. The walls received one coat of stain then sanded and another coat of a darker stain. All finished off with at least one coat of polyurethane. All of the trim work was made with this pine from the 1x4's, 1x2's and 1/4" x 3/4" inside and outside corner trim. I even made a built in dresser, some of the kitchen cabinets and shelving with this product.
As stated above I'm currently working on the flooring. I'm staining the boards before installing so I can get different shades of stain for more depth. I've noticed while staining that this side of the board is much more rough than the 'v' side. I've noticed quite a bit of rough and split edges that will have to be cut out. Although I ordered extra I'm concerned I may need to purchase more due to all of the waste that I'm anticipating.

I Bought My Flooring From The Knoxville Location and The Service Was Awesome. Matt and His Guys Are Super People. I Installed The Flooring Thru My Entire House (1300 Sqft.) In 23 Hrs By Myself. I Stained It Before I Layed It To Save Time. After Laying The Flooring I Put 2 Coats of Polly.. Came Out Amazing.

Comments about Clover Lea 3/4" x 5-1/8" New England White Pine:
Every board had (at best) poorly milled ends, and at worst entire board was unusable in a few instances (groove wasn't deep enough), so there was way more waste than expected (around 20%). All ends need to be cut and there are many major defects that need to be cleaned up, so you will rarely get a full 7' board...most were 3-5'.
In the end, floor looks great if you're expecting a rustic look for your cabin and the price is good, just order some extra and bring your miter saw.
Used Minwax sanding sealer & Minwax Water-Based (oil-infused) Poly. Would have liked to use tung oil (Waterlox), but would have taken too long to apply

Comments about Clover Lea 3/4" x 5-1/8" New England White Pine:
Truthfully, I only bought this flooring because it was the cheapest unfinished wood and I was planning on staining the floor black so I wasn't really concerned about the grain or knots. This wood is so soft that is dents and scratches very easily so if you are going to stain take extra care; the stain will not set into dents and scratches because the pores of the wood have been pressed closed by the damage. Also you MUST condition the wood before applying stain. A wood hardener wouldn't be a bad idea either. I'm not sure how it would affect the staining process but if your not staining I wouldn't skip that step. Some people mentioned in other posts that they had received a lot of unusable planks in their order;I guess I lucked out because I only had about 10% waste. Installation was pretty much what I expected. Some of the boards were not squared correctly so that made things more difficult, but it was a pretty smooth job covering 500 sq. feet. If you're an expert you could probably do a great job with this wood but if you're not I would pay more for the engineered wood.

This installed well and easily but you will need to order more than the normal 10% for waste unless you want to fill lots of holes and knots. I tried to cut out most of the deep pits and holes and edges that were roughed up. Ended up having to order about 790sf of wood for a 618 sf square room.

This is my second room I did with White Pine.
I mixed with Some Yellow Pine and got a great effect. If you are willing to do the work and
have the tools, then go for it.
I pre sanded and pre finished the boards with a Translucent type Stain. Some of the pieces I gave more coats to get different shades. I then let them dry and installed them, did a touch up and coated with 3 coats of Poly.

Q:
Can this product be glued to a concrete floor. This is for the front porch of a plantation style home. I'm trying not to put down skids to nail to. It would be simpler if I can glue it down using something like liquid nails. The finished product will be painted.1 answer
