2mm New River Mahogany Resilient Vinyl Flooring- 6" x 36" Peel and Stick Plank Highlights: Quick Installation Tip: Subfloor surface must be clean, smooth, and level. Not recommended for installation over radiant heat. Resilient flooring is moisture resistant which makes it an excellent choice for high moisture areas such as bathrooms, laundry rooms, kitchens, and basements. But it will also enhance the look and feel of bedrooms, living rooms, and any other areas of your home. We caught up with real Lumber Liquidators' customers who volunteered to discuss their floor shopping, buying and installation experiences. In no way did these customers receive compensation for their kind words. (They're speaking straight from the heart.) |

This product was on back order for two weeks. It seems to be quite popular. I recently installed it in the bathroom. I'm not sure if it will hold up but it sure looks good for now. Looks like real wood.

Comments about Tranquility 2mm New River Mahogany Resilient:
The floor looks amazing. We were able to do two large rooms in 1 1/2 days. Very easy to install. I was actually able to help my husband with this project! The hardest part was removing the old carpet. We have had this floor for about 3 weeks and it still looks brand new.

I'm a 28 year old female and not handy AT ALL. I did one room (the spare bedroom) in about 4 hours. It's about 450 square feet. It was so easy!!!! I plan on doing the entire house!

Comments about Tranquility 2mm New River Mahogany Resilient:
Since we put the flooring in anyone who has come over does not believe that it's vinyl, it's quite shocking how much it looks like a wood floor. Being able to lay it over the existing flooring made prep time a breeze.
Just remember to offset your planks or it will look awful.
Also since it is installed a plank at a time it is easy to work with... just make sure you have knee pads :)

Comments about Tranquility 2mm New River Mahogany Resilient:
Some of the planks I did have to use extra floor adhedsive, I got one bad box out of 21 that wasn't as sticky as the others, no biggie. I thought it was easy, I did it by myself. I did 4 rooms in about 6 days. The most time consuming was moving my furniture around and ripping up the carpet.
Service and delivery comments:
I had originally gone to the store to pick it up, my local store did not have it. After discovering how far the other store was, I was ready to cancel the whole deal but the salesman did excellent and got it delivered to my house for free that night. He was awesome!

Comments about Tranquility 2mm New River Mahogany Resilient:
Just bought a new house and could not afford to replace the floors or hire someone to instal. The parquet was in really bad shape and I found this product as I was not paying quoted $1,000 to refinish a floor I did not like. I laid this myself (female) in a 19x12 living room. Friends and family cannot tell it is not real wood and I am not telling! Installed right over the parquet as advised by dealer. No "hollow" sounds like you get with laminate flooring when walking on it. My dad paid me a large compliment - told me I should be a carpenter part-time I installed the floor so well - I just smirked and said thanks!

Comments about Tranquility 2mm New River Mahogany Resilient:
Old house remodel, installed new 1/2" sanded plywood over the old, rough flooring. This flooring is self-stick & I was worried about it not staying glued down. It was really sticky & it needed no extra glue. It allows for some movement to adjust fit but once you get it down it stays stuck. I put it in living room/kitchen combination and carried it through the hallway and bathroom. I did install pads on the furniture so they won't scratch the finish. It turned out so beautiful and was easy to install.

Comments about Tranquility 2mm New River Mahogany Resilient:
Floor "telegraphs" over any existing floor and will show all warps or bumps. Make sure you are laying over a completely flat AND COMPLETELY SMOOTH surface or take the time to make it as such.

Comments about Tranquility 2mm New River Mahogany Resilient:
I love this product!! I wasn't sure about peel and stick/vinyl, but I needed something durable and attractive for our bathrooms and foyer. Upon acquiring a sample, I knew this would be the best product for my needs. It was super easy to install and it looks like real wood. We've even had compliments asking if it was the tongue and groove laminate flooring! Very economical price and I would recommend this to ANYONE!! :) I used brown silicone to fill in the gaps as I butted the flooring directly up to the molding, and the molding wasn't perfectly straight. It blends well with the flooring and you can't tell the gaps were even there!! I hope my pictures do justice to the beauty it adds to our home :)

Q:
My house currently has linoleum and carpet that butt up to each other. I would like to replace both with this vinyl wood plank. Everyone is telling me not to do it because the floors are 2 different heights. Once the carpet is torn up that side of the floor will be much lower than the linoleum side. I am being told that it will be a pain plus cost an arm and a leg to get this to work. Do you have any suggestions as to how to keep the cost of this down and do you see it being a problem? What is the easiest cheapest fix for my dilema?1 answer
A:
Thank you for writing in! I would be glad to help you with your questions.Q:
Can this flooring be sealed with polyurethane or poly-acrylic?1 answer
A:
We can only recommend our Bellawood Floor Cleaner, or cleaners that are safe for water based urethane finishes. Never use any polish, wax, oil soaps or cleaners that add shine to the floor. Thank you for your inquiry.Q:
I have a very small dog with an even smaller bladder. She makes very small accidents in house almost on a daily basis. I am looking at the vinyl peel and stick flooring. Would the puppy accidents discolor the flooring? Also, would the accidents get down in between planks and ruin my new flooring??1 answer
A:
The peel and stick vinyl would be the best option for you based on your question. We do retail these and you can find them on our website in numerous different colorsQ:
can I put this over 16x16 ceramic tile?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
If tile is flat and level and free of contaminates yes. See - www.lumberliquidators.com/assets/images/installation/tranquility_peel_and_stick.pdfQ:
I am confused between laminate and vinyl. I have peel and stick planks in my home now-I really like them, but they get dull...will these keep their shine or do I need to go with somethig else? I do not mind a "clic" kind, but I am looking for something that looks real and water-proof-ish. will be using it in a kitchen and mud room also.1 answer
A:
This product question would be better answered by our Sales Department, they are more familiar with all of our flooring products and can better assist you with your questions.Q:
I have hardwood in my kitchen now. I love the look, but my dog's nails scratch it. I thought vinyl would elinimate that. After reading the evaluations, questions and comments, I am not so sure. I like the New River Mahogany Resilient by Tranquility. What do you suggest? I want to put this throughout the rest of the house. My husband and I are the only ones living in the house along with our dog and two cats. Thank you for your help.1 answer
A:
Despite today's advanced technology, water spills, dirt and other abrasive substances can damage a wood floor's finish. Location, traffic patterns, how often the floor is vacuumed and cleaned, children and/or pets are all factors that influence wear and durability.Q:
The spec sheet states it is "peel and stick",but the installation instructions require an adhesive......which is correct?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
The product SKU on this is 10013358 which is not in the adhesive primer recommendation so, no adhesive necessary. However subfloor requirements must be closely followed.Q:
We have a large 1,200 sg ft living room and we often hold parties with over 100 people. would this flooring hold up to that kind of traffic and wear and tear?1 answer

I want to put this over existing woods floors that are wide, but quite old and very gapped between, up to an inch between planks. Our floors are not perfectly level either. How should I install this floor?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
You would need to cover existing subfloor with 3/8" minimum ply, smooth one side. Leveling issues should be remedied.
