Morning Star Click 1/2" x 5" Pearl City Click Bamboo
Morning Star Bamboo Flooring is one of the best bamboo floors on the market today. It is produced from old growth bamboo reeds that are at least 4 years old, thereby increasing hardness. Morning Star Bamboo Flooring creates a naturally beautiful and ecologically friendly product that evokes a feeling of luxury.
Twice as hard as oak, strand bamboo is an optimal choice for busy homes when durability is needed to stand up to the wear and tear of family foot traffic, active kids and even pets.
To make strand bamboo, shredded bamboo fibers are compressed under extreme heat and pressure. This manufacturing process yields flooring that is even harder and more dense than traditional bamboo floors. Available in a variety of colors to complement and décor, all Morning Star strand bamboo products are finished with premium coating and backed by a 30 year warranty.
And, since bamboo is a naturally sustainable grass that re-grows spontaneously after harvest, you can feel good about making an environmentally friendly flooring decision.

Q:what is the specific gravity of this product? Where do I find the MSDS sheet?
A:Please refer to your Species Specific moisture Meter for correct calculations/settings when measuring for moisture content on stranded bamboo floor products.
Q:Where is this product made? And I've read that strand bamboo is the hardest product on the market and more resistant to moisture. I've also read that if you want wood in your bathroom, strand bamboo is the way to go, so why don't you recommend it for the bathroom?
A:This flooring is Made in China, and is not subject to CARB (although we ensure that it does) and it is perfectly safe.
Q:This product was listed as OK for Below Grade - Concrete Subfloor. Just to clarify, will it work in a basement, i.e. potentially moister than above grade?
Q:What is the best way to clean the flooring? Can you use a damp mop or a steam mop?
A:We can only recommend our Bellawood Floor Cleaner, or cleaners that are safe for water based urethane finishes. Never use any polish, wax, oil soaps or cleaners that add shine to the floor. In addition, we do not recommend using steamers or wet-jet cleaning systems for hardwood because spraying can collect moisture in between board edges. The use of these products is at your own risk.
Q:How deep does the finish (color) penetrate? If you were to get a scratch could the scratch be sanded and refinished?
A:The white stain does not penetrate this bamboo very deeply.
Q:How does the finish on the Pearl City floor hold up on a kitchen with a high traffic area? Will the finish hold up under a lot of wear?
A:Despite today's advanced technology, water spills, dirt and other abrasive substances can damage a wood floor's finish. Location, traffic patterns, how often the floor is vacuumed and cleaned, children and/or pets are all factors that influence wear and durability.
Q:Can you tell me how this is sealed? How many coats of finish seal and what product do you use to finish the planks?
A:The wear layer is finished by 7 coats of UV cured urethane with aluminum oxide.
Q:can this product work in a bathroom?
A:Not recommended for full baths, half baths are fine.
Q:Is this flooring slippery ?
A:Any flooring surface can be slippery when it gets wet, be careful, wipe up spills promptly and having the proper throw rugs at he sink will help.
Q:I'm looking at the 1/2" bamboo floating floor and I currently have parkay wood floors . the floors are relatively level, might have a slight pitch next to the walls. what problems may I run into installing over the existing floor, I did have a profesinal come in to give me a quote and said the floors are fine for a floating floor but I decided to do it myself. Thanks Danny
