Morning Star Click 1/2" x 5" Peking Antique Click Strand Bamboo
Morning Star Bamboo Flooring is one of the best bamboo floors on the market today. It is produced from old growth bamboo reeds that are at least 4 years old, thereby increasing hardness. Morning Star Bamboo Flooring creates a naturally beautiful and ecologically friendly product that evokes a feeling of luxury.
To make strand bamboo, shredded bamboo fibers are compressed under extreme heat and pressure. This manufacturing process yields flooring that is even harder and more dense than traditional bamboo floors. Available in a variety of colors to complement and décor, all Morning Star strand bamboo products are finished with premium coating and backed by a 30 year warranty.
And, since bamboo is a naturally sustainable grass that re-grows spontaneously after harvest, you can feel good about making an environmentally friendly flooring decision.

Q:My (independent) installer said that my upstairs area was small enough that I didn't need to use T-molding transitions in the doorways between connected rooms. I like the seamless transitions that would allow for but I'm curious whether it would cause gaping. Please advise?
A:It could and would be at your own risk.
Q:can this product be nailed down?
A:No, this requires floating installation or gluedown as the manufacturer instructions specify; http://www.lumberliquidators.com/assets/images/installation/morning_star_clic.pdf
Q:Can this flooring be installed over a radiant heat flooring system?
Q:Anyone have any boards (when using click method only) come up after a few months? I have one board that came unclicked last night. Of course in the middle of the floor.
A:Please call our Tech and Installation Dept. @ (800) 366-4204 for a detailed answer to your question. Thank you for your inquiry.
Q:How long does this flooring take to acclimate before I can install?
A:Time is not the deciding factor.
Q:Can this product be refinished like hardwood is?
A:To restore the original shine of a solid hardwood, bamboo, cork, and engineered floor a screen and re-coat may be needed or a complete refinishing. A professional sand and finish expert would have to make the determination on site on which sanding process will be needed or which can be done to restore the floors shine. Not all engineered floors can be refinished because of having a thin veneer layer.
Q:Can this be installed below grade?
A:Yes but as a floating floor only. Thank you for your inquiry
Q:Would you recommend this flooring for the basement?
A:Yes this product can be installed in a basement but only as floating installation. Thank you for your inquiry
Q:Can this product be used in a kitchen?
A:Yes, bamboo is acceptable for installation in a kitchen. It is recommend to put a throw rug by the sink because an excess water can damage wood. You will need to wipe up any water that sit on the floor as soon as possible. Thank you for your inquiry
Q:What is the maximum lenth this type of floor can be installed along?
A:(Floating installation) Expansion breaks allow normal floor movement independent of other connected rooms. Any room or connected areas greater than 30’ feet in any direction must have expansion breaks placed into the flooring. Expansion breaks and T-Molding transitions must be installed between adjoining rooms, connections in hallways and at all doorways. Failure to meet these requirements can result in the floor buckling, separating or gapping. Thank you for your inquiry
