  • Q:

The stair nose - how should it be installed. Glued or nailed? If so what type of glue or nails should be used?

      A:

We recommend glue and nails. Use 100% urethane adhesive and secure the nosing directly to the sub floor, then use a 3/32” drill bit to pre-drill nail holes only through the nosing and use 6d finish nails to also secure the nosing. Use a matching color putty to fill in the nail holes. Thank you for your inquiry
