Comments about Prefinished Bolivian Rosewood Threshold:
The floor turned out to be so much more beautiful than the showroom floor display. Everyone comments on how it changed the whole look of the room. Made it look classy, warm, and clean. The floor covered was my foyer and hallway. I had an oak floor that was installed by the builder and side by side there was no comparison. The old floor actually looked old and ugly if that makes sense. Now, I plan to do more rooms in the future.[...] The price was great [...]Cindy Goss

Q:How well does this floor hold up tp dogs? We have 3 bulldogs weighing from 50 to 65 pounds. Would the floor scratch easlily?
A:This flooring is made with 6 layers of water based polyurethane so scratching would happen but not has easily with something with less finish, the best material we retail as far as the finish is concerned is our Bellawood line which we have in solids and engineered
Q:Can I install in-floor heating under this flooring?
A:Yes it can. With proper installation and care this flooring will last for years in this application. You can find complete care and installation instructions on the product page by clicking on the specs tab and then clicking on - Installation Guide.pdf Thank you for your question.
Q:Bathroom Installation w/walk in shower ?
A:Due to the excessive moisture present in a full bath we cannot recommend any of our solid natural flooring or laminate products for this application, I would suggest one of our vinyl Tranquility products. We have a 2mm peel and stick and now a 4mm click together product that can go in full bath areas or where moisture is a concern. Thank you for your inquiry.
Q:When installing copper maple engineered wood floor on concrete, how level should the floor be?
A:The final surface must be flat to within 1/8" in 6' or 3/16" in 10'.
Q:With this Schon quick click floor it says no adhesive is needed. Does that mean there is a locking mechanism on all four sides of the board? Somewhere I read states it requires glue on the short ends. Is this true? If so, what kind of glue is best to use?
A:First look to see if your flooring has a locking joint on the ends.
Q:Can this product run out of stock or be discontinued? If so, How do I repair it if there is a future disaster? Thanks
A:Yes, although rare sometimes we discontinue floors or locking mechanisms can change. We recommend to have an extra box for possible future repairs. Store according to the manufacturers recommendations.
Q:Is it possible that this product could run out or be discontinued? If so what do we do if we have a disaster in the future? Thank You
A:It is possible that any manufactured (whether a car, flooring or a candy bar) product can be discontinued.
Q:can this floor be refinished?
A:This product has a very thin veneer (just over 1/32-inch) and can be screened and re-coated by a proffessional when the floor starts to wear excessively.
Q:Can this floor be glued down? I prefer glued down over floating.
A:This floor is designed for floating installation and is not recommended or does it carry a warranty for gluedown installation.
Q:Will this work in a laundry rm and kitchen?,and will it hold up to dogs?
A:Hardwood, engineered, laminate (higher warranty laminate) and bamboo is acceptable for installation in a laundry, but we highly recommend you put a throw rug by any sink because an excess of water can damage any floor. Also you will need to wipe up any water as soon as possible.
