        Does the bottom of the stair nose need to be flush with subtread? The ovehang is 1/2 inch, can it be installed to extended to 3/4 inch to meet code. What is the max extension?

          A:

          Measure each tread width and divide that number into the length that these nosings come in (78")Example; 78 divided by 34 = 2.29, so you will get two steps done out of each length ordered.

          I would recommend using an Aztec Cherry nosing for a better match. You will need to field adjust due to the height difference.
