Q:Can I transition my hardwood floor 1/2" down where it meets the stairwell?
A:Cut and Paste "Transition applications for Hardwood (pdf)" here - http://www.lumberliquidators.com/ll/flooring/Flooring101
Q:For stairs, what is the stair nosing that matches a free-floating click 7/16/inch x 4-3/4 inch engineered wood flooring. At LL I was given a 13/16 inch x 2-3/4 inch stair nosing that has an overlap which seems could present a tripping hazard. This floor does not have tongue and groove.
A:The transitions for a floating floor will have an overlap design to accomodate the normal expansion and contraction that will occur thru-out the seasons.
Q:Can you please tell me the dimensions of this produce (ex: 3/8" x 3.25" x 6.5 ft) Basically, I'm looking got see if this is 3/8", 5/16" or 1/2" depth...
A:Yes those dimensions are correct for that material
Q:Are there nosings that do not have an overlap. Why have the overlap - it seems like it could just cause tripping.
A:This image is incorrect, prefinished hardwood nosing has a groove to fit the tongue on the flooring.
Q:I need to know how much space to allow for the stair nose. Do you have the specs on this item?
