  • Q:

For stairs, what is the stair nosing that matches a free-floating click 7/16/inch x 4-3/4 inch engineered wood flooring. At LL I was given a 13/16 inch x 2-3/4 inch stair nosing that has an overlap which seems could present a tripping hazard. This floor does not have tongue and groove.

The transitions for a floating floor will have an overlap design to accomodate the normal expansion and contraction that will occur thru-out the seasons.

  • Q:

Are there nosings that do not have an overlap. Why have the overlap - it seems like it could just cause tripping.

This image is incorrect, prefinished hardwood nosing has a groove to fit the tongue on the flooring.
