Best Uses
We used this flooring to weave into an existing floor that was installed by the home builder for a customer. The finish was an exact match and very durable. The primary reason we used this flooring was due to the color match and that it was the same manufacture the builder had installed. I was much less impressed with the milling and the piece quality. The V-grove at the ends where badly done and highly inconsistant resulting in a highly variable looking floor. I have installed many a hardwood floor but the amount of warped and bowed boards in this takes the cake. We where able to make all the running seams tight but this required double the amound of staples and a lot of extra elbow grease. The end joints where awful in that the V-groove where milled so poorly there where joints that looked to vary from tight to as open as 1/8". I would not recomend this product if you have little or no experience installing hardwood flooring.
The matching moulding sold for the floor is a shoe moulding (1/2" x 3/4") instead of a quaretr round (3/4" x 3/4"). If you use this moulding make sure your expansion gap is dead on 1/4". When we opened the box of shoe we found cut pieces in the box and were a little taken back by that.
Service and delivery comments:
Product was in stock at the store and we picked up the product at the store. When we brought back the pieces of shoe that where cut in the box we received they credited it back to us. Overall service was good.
