Q:
Is this stair nose actually made from acacia or is it another type of wood? Because I have purchased acacia flooring and was told that the stair nose is not available in acacia, and walnut is used and stained to try and match the acacia.

  Yes you are correct, due to the availability of exotic raw lumber many of our transitions are made from domestic woods that closely match in graining and density for our stained exotic flooring products.
