My stairs are roughly 37" wide, so I was able to get two cuts from each 78" stick. I bought my stair noses on 3 separate trips (phased install), double-check the stock that you are purchasing. On one trip I received two sticks that varied in wood grade (2 different suppliers). Made sure to check each one for consistency, on my last trip.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

is this all i need to refinish my stairs if i plan on painting the rise of each step... and is this laminate... because i was told i could only do steps in hardwood..no laminate... thanks..1 answer
