Problems with color match. Manufacturer changed colors. Installer was able to sand them down and refinish to correct color. Now the stairs look fantastic!

Beautiful, rich looking wood......it gets even better, very hard and has a distressed finish so kids, pets, the every day life oops! that happen to floors are not likely to be noticed on this flooring.

Poor match to golden teak flooring.

Comments about Virginia Mill Works Prefinished Golden Teak Stair Nose:
People think this floor is gorgeous! And it IS - when its clean. It shows dirt easily. My kids have dropped rocks, plates, etc onto it and it chips. This is my third house, 3 remodel and the other woods we had did not chip this easily.
It hides imperfections and damage very well, but it does damage.
Hand scraped is hard to clean because of the grooves. My swiffer wet jet regular pads don't get in the grooves, so I have to use the microfiber pads or another mop - not a big deal. I know its the new fad and is really pretty, but if I were to do it again, I'd get tile in higher traffic areas and the kitchen. In other places I would not get a hand scraped wood. I also would get one that would be finished in the home because the seams are indented too (non-prefinished wood won't have that) and crumbs get in and its just hard to clean.
The pieces are really short so all the lines bother me some, but my husband doesn't think its too much. I'll try to put a picture on here so you can decide.
Its really pretty.

Makes for a beautiful floor that looks much more expensive than it is.

Q:
how do you install stair nose when cut ends of flooring will be butting up against it instead of the tounge of the board? Or is there some other style of stair nosing for that?1 answer
A:
You may need to router a groove into the cut ends and then use a spline (slip tongue) for a mechanical joint.Q:
why does my stair nose look like a totally different type or wood and is much darker than the rest of my floor1 answer

Please contact our Customer Care department so we can check your order to verify you have the correct stair nosing for the flooring you purchased. To reach Customer Care call 1-800-366-4204.Q:
