The product itself is wonderfull and looks great. The installer was way off on the measurements causing me to have to return two full boxes and save one
Installed this flooring in a large living room area. Adds nice warmth to the room with its hand-scraped looks and dark tones.
So far this floor seems pretty solid, no damaged materials in the box.
Service and delivery comments:
Great service, easy pickup.
Product was as promised, no defects.
The looks are beyond compare. Rich and warm looking, we love it.
It is a darker finish and does show dust and dog hair and an occasional fooprint but it cleas up easily and looks fantastic.
I intend to do a much larger area in the near future.

Q:Are the edges square or does it come micro-beveled?
A:R.L. Colston- 2-1/4" x 3/4" Brazilian Cherry Unfinished Square Edge Solid Hardwood Flooring
Q:First, I have refinished some hardwood floors in the past and can use the belt sanders. I am thinking that I would not have to use a belt sander, just the orbitting type floor sander for finish sanding. Am I correct in my thinking/planning, or would it need both, a light grit belt and then finished sanding.
A:The suggested sanding sequence for Brazilian Cherry according to the National Wood Flooring Association is to start your first cut with a belt or drum sander using a 50 grit paper. This first cut should be at a 7 to 15 degree angle with the grain. The Second cut using a 60 to 80 grit on a belt or drum sander should be straight with the grain. The third cut will be with a 100 grit paper on a belt or drum sander straight with the grain. The belt and drum sander is used for big areas and an edger should be used around the walls and tight spaces that can't be reached with the belt and drum sander. Edging should be done after each cut with the belt/drum sander using the same grit paper that was used on the drum/belt sander. Last a buffer is used with an 80 grit screen paper over the entire floor. Place a 100 grit screen paper on the buffer and go over the flooring one more time. Clean up and vacuum all of the dust and you are ready to start the finishing process. It is always best to have an experience professional to perform this type of work.
Q:When you say this wood will need to be "finished", are you simply talking about sanding and sealing with a clearcoat or varnish? Will that bring out the colors shown in the picture or does it need staining as well?
A:This unfinished flooring is usually finished with a clear finish (no stain).
Q:Why does the picture of wood on floor lack the reddish color? What grade is this wood?
A:This product may show a myriad of hues from golden brown to reddish brown.
Q:How much does each bundle weigh?

A:The R.L. Colston 3/4" x 2 1/4" Brazilian Cherry is a unfinished product that does not come with a warranty.
