Comments about Prefinished Obsidian Plank Threshold:

We put it in all the bedrooms. I always loved the dark flooring, but had no idea how the dirt shows so easily. I really recommend to go a little lighter to others. I love my flooring but don't the the upkeep

  • Q:

How is the stair noseing attached to wood treads? Is it perimeter nailing along with center glueing or so? What type of glue do you recommend. Should the nails be pre drilled?
Asked on 2/21/2012 by Anonymous from Los Angeles, Ca.

I recommend 100% urethane construction adhesive along with nailing (pre-drill) two nails at each side and two in the middle of tread.
Use stair nosing to finish a single stair edge or for a step down application. Stair parts should be nailed and glued for safety. Due to the complexity of stair installation and local building codes, it is highly recommended to consult with a professorial flooring installer or the manufacturer for stair installation advice. Thank you for your inquiry.
