We got these to match an already installed laminate floor. While we love the durability of laminate flooring (we are tough on floors!) the transitions were horrible and started to fall apart almost right away. Areas where there was comnstant use, like by a front door, was the worst. These work perfectly, hold up against abuse like wheels, and we are very happy. We were a little upset with the high price tag (full retail) but we were able to pick them up same day and install them right away, unlike a flooring store that would have to order them.
