Q:What is the difference between the quick click T-moulding, and the reg. t-moulding
A:There is no difference, all of our wood T-mouldings are the same dimensions (different species).
Q:I'm installing flooring and need t-molding in a doorway. The t-molding is on order, but I want to proceed with floor installation. What is the gap distance I should leave between the two floor surfaces (i.e., how much space do I need to properly install the t-molding at a later date)? Also, should I trim the groove from the last board installed in the doorway?
A:Leave 1 inch space between the two edges of flooring.
Q:The new floating floor is a total of 9/16" high (7/16" wood + 1/8" underlayment). The undercut on the T-molding is only 1/4" high. That means, in order to nail and glue the T-molding to the subfloor, I have to raise it up 5/16", so that the floating floor has the 9/16" vertical space it needs. Am I supposed to make a piece of wood 5/16" high by 1/2" wide, to fit under the middle of the T-molding?
A:Yes, that would be the easiest way to make the T-molding work. Just cut a wood strip to the height needed glue or nail it in place. Next install the T-molding and glue or nail that in place too.
Q:I have two adjacent rooms, which will both have quick-click 7/16" thick flooring. How do I attach the T-molding to the subfloor?
A:This will need to be nailed with finish nails, or glued to the subfloor using a urethane construction adhesive.
Q:Is this solid hickory?
A:Yes this is a solid moulding.
Q:We've just installed Schon natural hickory clic flooring and need t-molding for one doorway. What does your "stained" finish mean in your online product description for that t-molding? Will it not match our natural hickory floors?
A:This t-molding is made to match your natural hickory flooring.
