the product is wonderful. so easy to install.
the only thing I don't like is the popping noise you hear when you walk acrossed it. that could be something we did wrong when laying it. I love it. It looks beautiful.

looked nice, but would not have installed in doorways in a house this small again, makes the hallway and rooms seem smaller. However, if a section of flooring needs to be replaced there should not be a problem because the rooms and hallways are separated.

It was the first time my husband and I attempted to put in a floor. It went down so well, we couldn't believe it. Just make sure the first few rows are straight, the rest just clicks in. Love it! We want to do the kid's bedrooms next.

A too fast install didn't expose gaps in the flooring until I was about to install the baseboards and baseshoe. In order to close those separations, a cut had to be made at a door to "buy" some space to close those gaps. The doorway was looking great without the T-mould, but it was the only solution. The nature of the graining in the antique strand bamboo we used "masked" the install flaw...be carefule when using this product.

I used this to cover the expansion gaps around my hearth. The product looks great. The biggest problem is the VERY HIGH price.

When installing this as an expansion break for rooms over 30 ft as recommended in the installation instructions, how should this t-molding be installed? Should it be glued or nailed and where should this be done (glue to top of floor boards, top nailing to subfloor, etc)?

                                A:

T-molding does not come with a track like laminate flooring does. You can use a urethane adhesive in a caulking tube and apply a thick bead of adhesive directly to the subfloor and sit the molding in place allowing the bottom of the T-molding to sit into the adhesive. Apply weights on top of the molding until the adhesive cures. If the bottom of the molding does not reach the subfloor, cut a shim and glue it to the bottom of the t-molding and once cured glue the whole piece to the subfloor.

I am going to put down a 9/16"x5" bamboo floor. I have to transition from this to a linoleum floor and also to a loop carpeted floor w/ a 1/2 " pad. What transition moldings do you recommend? Do I also remove carpet edging , or but up to it?
                              Thank you

How can this t-moulding be used on concrete floor. Do you need to drill holes and fastening to concrete with lead anchors? or is there another method?

                                Installation –
Match the molding up to a piece of flooring on a flat surface to verify size.
Occasionally you may need to use spacer/shims for a proper fit.
Be sure to make sure there are no contaminants such as paint, oil, grease etc. that could affect the adhesive bond.
To attach the molding to concrete: Apply one 1/4 inch bead of 100% urethane construction adhesive to the subfloor and seat the molding in place. Clean off any excess glue promptly with mineral spirits.
Use something heavy temporarily to hold the trim down for a minimum of 16 hours to ensure a good bond.
                                Thank you for writing in.

What trim profile do you recommend for ending the floor at the top of the stairs?

We've installed our floor but don't know what to do where the floor transitions down into a stair case.
