Comments about Prefinished Strand Carbonized Bamboo Quarter Round:

Though I wanted very hard and durable hardwood for my living areas, this quarter round is so incredibly hard that it was difficult for my contractors to get nails through. Even using a compressor, the nails often bent and cracked my trim pieces.

Comments about Prefinished Strand Carbonized Bamboo Quarter Round:

I like the appearance of the molding, and it matches the flooring very well. However, you need to pay attention to the color variation, to not have such a drastic color change in the middle of a wall run. I was always able to match up pieces relatively well, keeping the exceptionally dark pieces for out of the way areas. Nailing proved to be quite a challenge, as the bamboo is extremely dense material. After ruining a portion of a number of sticks, I opted to use Liquid Nails to adhere the quarter round to the wall. So far, it appears to be holding up, although I did pre-drill and insert some finish nails in areas where the base molding bowed slightly.

I used a nail gun without drilling holes and had no problem with the nails securing it to the baseboard. The price a lot more than pine quarter round but when you see how good it looks you will agree that it was worth it.

Decided to go with this 1/4 round versus white (baseboards are white) and very pleased that I did. This product matched my flooring exceptionally well and adds dimension to the floor/room(s). It's definitely more expensive but worth the cost!

Used this trim to finish flooring. Puts the right touch on a great flooring product. Highly recommend using this flooring and trim. Get extra hardwood cutting blades for sabre saw for cutting around doorways. Great price for solid wood. I used it over concrete slab, with the recommend eco cork pad.

Because the product is so hard, I needed to pre-drill holes for the nails to be put into the baseboard. Other than being an extra step, this was no big deal.

Love the color of the carbonized bamboo. We had a hard time installing. It wouldn't float so we ended up side nailing.

The quarter round that matches is impossible to nail. We used three different nail guns and finally had to glue. its too hard to nail- shoots the stuff apart.

This is a random length wood product that comes 1’ to 7’ in length, the average length is about 3.25'. Thank you for your inquiry.

i am interested in purchasing 1000 sq ft of this product but am not able to pull the trigger b'cos i wanted the whitest white ash possible (a few boxes / pieces of the color variation are acceptable as i fully understand it is a natural product.) Is there any ways that you could make a special effort to making sure the lot i would be sold was per my specifications. In short i dont want to get a product that looks much darker than the samples i have seen at the local LL store or the pictures on your website. thanks.

Unfortunately it is not possible to "hand select" beyond what meets the select grade criteria that is put put into the boxes after it is run through our finishing line.
Perhaps you are looking for clear grade ash.
