Comments about Prefinished Strand Natural Bamboo Stair Nose:
Overall I am happy witht he bamboo flooring, Unfortunatley there is a pattern that shows up on the floor that is not visible until it is all installed. Approx 30% of boards are lighter on one end than the other (same end) and so it shows up as a repeating pattern. These stranded boards are not supposed to have pattern. Shows up sort of like little comets throughout the floor. A bit distracting when what I was looking for was a more random stranded look.

Comments about Prefinished Strand Natural Bamboo Stair Nose:
I love this bamboo/epoxy blend flooring (similar to trex board). Extremely durable, resistant to everything.
This is where size variations were a minor problem. We had to do some shimming to make smooth transitions from 1 board to the next. Not hard, and is so beautiful when done it was worth the minor inconvenience.
A name 'box store' had cheaper display samples of another product. The sample was badly spliting. If the in-store sample is falling apart, I dread to think what my home would look like!! This epoxy-bamboo blend I got is more expensive than typical bamboo & heavier, but well worth it.
One of my carpenters asked about where I got it, etc... He wants to use the same flooring in his home.

Comments about Prefinished Strand Natural Bamboo Stair Nose:
over all dimensions of new stair bull nose I picked up at store are the same as those provided in original order .. BUT the actual bull nose is longer (thus less wood routed off underneath) than originals... I have already installed stair material up to bull nose. Also these picked up or notably different tone in color.

Can this product be used on the end of the stairs with the flooring installed on the tread?1 answer

Yes, the stair nose is designed to go on the front edge of the tread. If your existing treads have a rounded front edge, that rounded portion will have to be cut off flush with the riser for the stair nosing to work.
