Color does not match floor.

The color is close to the floor, but is noticeably different. The groove does not line up with the floor tongue, so the top of the floor is slightly below the stair nosing.

dresses up the stairs

used the golden zebra stranded carbonized bamboo boards on the stairs rather than solid stair treads. Saved us a lot of money and it matched the rest of the floor. Otherwise we would have had stairs that were either the dark color or the lighter color in the bamboo as they did not have solid stair treads in the golden zebra. The installer did a great job. Stairs look great and the stairnose dresses up the appearance of the stairs. Gives a curved edge rather than a square one. We saved enough on the stairs using this approach that we were able to do porcelain tile in the rest of our main level. Win win situation.

  Due to the type of product; 30% waste is recommended (not all of this product will be usable).
  SUMMARY/DETAILED: Odd-lot flooring is factory seconds sold as-is. It is possible that more than 50% of the material may contain one or more milling, grading, or finishing defects including, but not limited to: severely mis-milled boards; mis-graded boards; warp; wood characters including holes, splits, cracks, severe color variation that is not typical for the wood species; missing or off-color stain; missing/improperly cured finish; severe grainy surface/debris; chips, blisters; scratches; and peeling finish. All sales of odd-lot products are final –product returns are not permitted.
  
  NOTE: This grade description is intended only to provide general characteristics of the identified wood grade, and is not all-inclusive. Specific wood characteristics and acceptance criteria may vary by wood species.
