Looks good but finish scratches easily

Had professionally installed glued and nailed due to 5 1/4" width. Laid over 1,100 sq ft. Looks good and the dogs are able to navigate without slipping too much. Handscraped was a good choice. Furniture moved over the floor has created scratches. Think the finish may be brittle making it more susceptible to damage.
Happy with product just need to be careful moving furniture.
