We are installing engineered handscraped Tobacco Road on basement floor with elastilon. Doors and trim have not been installed yet so I can't tell where to start the wood in the doorway threshold. I have 1/2 drywall, 2 X 4 stud on floor that is floating floor. How far into the room do I place the wood and threshold without knowing where the door is going to sit?1 answer

I would highly recommend waiting for the doors to be installed before installing the trim pieces.
