The only thing I can complain about was with the sales associate when I ordered my underlayment. I asked about needing a moisture barrier with the underlayment as the wood flooring was going in the basement. The answer was no so I didnt worry about it. Once my contractor picked everything up from lumber liquidators he goes to install the underlayment and rifht there on the package PUT DOWN MOISTURE BARRIER!

We purchased ten days ago and used it as an under layer for our new floors in the basement. The floors are quiet, comfortable, and look fantastic. This is the perfect under layer and well worth the price.

Very easy to install, just rollout, cut. Overlap and adhesive strip make butting pieces easy and keeps them together
I used the for engineered flooring. I was easy to cut and adapt to the shape I needed. One tip, lay one row at a time, put the floor once you are close to the edge lay the next row. My first room, I did put first all over, and i needed to adjusted everytime.

Q:
I want a solid floor when walking on it. I will be installing a 9/16" stranded bamboo flooring. I am concerned that this underlayment will give a sagging effect to the floor when walking on it. Similar to a floating hardwood floor. Should I use the Bella Premium or a thinner underlayment to Get a more solid feel when walking on it?1 answer
A:
There can be a certain amount of deflection when using padded underlayments. However Bellawood Premium Underlayment is stiffer than most and is approved for nail down installations. Will be installing both hardwood and laminate flooring over a plywood subfloor above a crawlspace and would like to know which underlayment would be best. Concerned about anything with a vapor barrier damaging the plywood subfloor over time. Is Bellawood Premium Underlayment an option?1 answer
A:
Bellawood Premium Underlayment is a good choice as it still will allow the subfloor to breath as the vapor barrier is permiable.Q:
I was in my local LL store discussing a glue down application of 1/2 x 3-1/4" Engineered Brazilian Cherry Hardwood. While discussing the Bellawood Premium Underlayment the LL folks mentioned that it would have to be glued to the concrete slab and then glue applied on top for the hardwood. Upon reviewing the installation guide for the Premium Underlayment there was no mention of glue down to the concrete. Is glue down to slab required in addition to the glue down on top for the hardwood? If so, what is the recommended cure time before I proceed to the installation of the engineered wood? Also, can I use the same adhesive, such as the Bostik's Best Adhesive, for both?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
This is a Double Stick installation outlined in the instructions for Bellawood Premium. Gluing an underlayment to the subfloor then flooring to the underlayment is referred to as a double-gluedown or double-stick installation.
