We used this underlayment in our living room and den and it makes the floor more comfortable.

While I'm sure the product will perform as intended, it was difficult to put down alone. would be easier with 2 people. Rolls kept recoiling while trying to align. This was a real pain while working in small spaces. Film overlap is only on one side, so when matching new roll to the just laid roll, alternating direction of roll complicated the install. Rolls are supposed to be 3' x 33'. Rolls varied in width between 35" and 35.75" making contiuation of runs with different rolls a challenge. Specifically, made it difficult to allign the seams without leaving gaps or having to cut thin filler strips.

Q:
What type of material is the bellawood premium underlayment made up of? On the site it says"made of primarily recycled content", but what does that mean? I plan to install and live in the US Virgin Islands (in the Caribbean) and am concerned about bugs being attracted to the underlayment material. Can you comment on that?1 answer
A:
The material is made up of fabric trimmings from the textile industry (new material only) that would otherwise be thrown away.Q:
