well worth the price I used it under my click cork and under my 3/4 solid nail down much better than rosin paper and much quieter, I even put some under hard backer to act as a thermal break for my entrance tile.

This is a great product. I was first hesitated due to the cost. My friend got the cheaper one and regretted. I think I have made the right choice.

The only thing I can complain about was with the sales associate when I ordered my underlayment. I asked about needing a moisture barrier with the underlayment as the wood flooring was going in the basement. The answer was no so I didnt worry about it. Once my contractor picked everything up from lumber liquidators he goes to install the underlayment and rifht there on the package PUT DOWN MOISTURE BARRIER!

We purchased ten days ago and used it as an under layer for our new floors in the basement. The floors are quiet, comfortable, and look fantastic. This is the perfect under layer and well worth the price.

                                                      A:

Floating floors are ideal for Mobile Homes for two reasons.

1st, The base sub-floor of these homes are prone to movement or future sagging.

2nd, The sub-floors are usually made of a Particle type board, a high quality board though not designed for a lasting nail-hold of traditional nail-down Hardwood floorings

The advantages of installing floating floors, such as engineered wood or laminates is that it’s not attached to the sub-floor. Therefore the new floor will not be affected by the sub-floor’s movement, and are less expensive to install by not having to remove the base floor.

However, a more traditional Hardwood nail-down installation can be accomplished if the Mobile home has a permanent, fixed foundation. In addition, for a lasting nail hold, any inferior sub-floorings should be removed or resurfaced using a minimum 5/8” plywood, 23/32” AdvanTech or 23/32” OSB (Oriented Strand Board)

I want a solid floor when walking on it. I will be installing a 9/16" stranded bamboo flooring. I am concerned that this underlayment will give a sagging effect to the floor when walking on it. Similar to a floating hardwood floor. Should I use the Bella Premium or a thinner underlayment to Get a more solid feel when walking on it?

There can be a certain amount of deflection when using padded underlayments. Hi there,

I am looking to install hardwood floors in a hard conversion loft. Property management has advised that I require minimum IIC of 60 or more with NO ceiling assembly -- it's bear concrete. Bella Premium was recommended but only WITH ceiling assembly IIC numbers are provided.

I need underlay that is at least 60 IIC with no ceiling assembly? What product can I buy that is guaranteed to work?

                                                    Thanks,

                                                    Mike

We do not have these numbers yet. Underlayment needs to undergo more testing.

We are taking up an existing tile floor in our kitchen and want to replace it with engineered wood.
As it will be impossible to get all the residue off the waterproof backerboard, will the underlayment keep this from being a problem?

The underlayment can cover small imperfections however your subfloor should be as flat, level, and smooth as possible.

Will be installing both hardwood and laminate flooring over a plywood subfloor above a crawlspace and would like to know which underlayment would be best. Concerned about anything with a vapor barrier damaging the plywood subfloor over time. Is Bellawood Premium Underlayment an option?

Bellawood Premium Underlayment is a good choice as it still will allow the subfloor to breath as the vapor barrier is permiable.
