Morning Star Bamboo Flooring is one of the best bamboo floors on the market today. It is produced from old growth bamboo reeds that are at least 4 years old, thereby increasing hardness. Morning Star Bamboo Flooring creates a naturally beautiful and ecologically friendly product that evokes a feeling of luxury. Quick Highlights: Strand To make strand bamboo, shredded bamboo fibers are compressed under extreme heat and pressure. This manufacturing process yields flooring that is even harder and more dense than traditional bamboo floors. Available in a variety of colors to complement and décor, all Morning Star strand bamboo products are finished with premium coating and backed by a 30 year warranty. And, since bamboo is a naturally sustainable grass that re-grows spontaneously after harvest, you can feel good about making an environmentally friendly flooring decision.

Comments about Morning Star 5/8" x 3-3/4" Qing Scorpion Strand Bamboo:
I used Elastilon to adhere this product as a floating floor, which I'd never done before. I won't say it was a snap, but pretty straight-forward with a nice result. The only problem I'm having--since I have dogs--is finding a cleaning method to best pick up the dog hair. I sweep, use the Bona shine finish, and still--dog hair.
Service and delivery comments:
As much as I like the product, the process in getting it was a mess. I called my local Portland, Oregon store and was advised to but the product via the Lumber Liquidators site, which I did on a Monday morning. They verified that the Portland store had the product. Go into the store hours later...and had to wait a full hour for my credit card to clear from the internet purchase. The guys at the local store are great...but even they were frustrated by the remarkably slow pace of the home office.

Comments about Morning Star 5/8" x 3-3/4" Qing Scorpion Strand Bamboo:
The look of the floor is Amazing. I have had the floor for about 6 Months. Unfortunately, i'm very unhappy with the finish. When the floor scratches it produces WHITE scratch marks! The "scratch away" markers for floors DONOT cover the WHITE scratch's. I do not own any pets or have furniture yet in the rooms, that's the scary part!!!

Comments about Morning Star 5/8" x 3-3/4" Qing Scorpion Strand Bamboo:
Make sure the installer does not use nails of any sort with this floor . We used 16 gauge nails with it and got bumps throughout the floor. Then switched to staples. The results were slightly better. However if glue is used there is nothing better than this flooring in terms of its rich look and smoothness.

Comments about Morning Star 5/8" x 3-3/4" Qing Scorpion Strand Bamboo:
My wife and I just had this installed to replace some carpeting and laminate flooring that had been installed when our house was built and recently damaged in a flood. We looked around at several suppliers and at several options before settling on the Scorpion bamboo and were a bit anxious to see how it would come out. We had Lumber Liquidators installers handle the installation since neither of us had any experience with gluing down flooring.
So far we both LOVE the new flooring. The installers were very professional, the floor looks fantastic and we have decided to go ahead and replace the remainder of the laminate and do the stairs in the same material.

For general cleaning a swiffer type system works best. Not one that sprays the floor however. Lightly damp is fine but never soak or flood mop your floor. Do not use steam mops. Have a no shoes policy as much as possible. Use felt pads on all furniture. Sweep often.Q:
