it was temporarily laid on top of a flooded floor outside without roof yet, storage shed, and after drying it kept construction workers from scarring the wood planks and the dense, soft cushiony denim took the moisture--will go under later.

I have this for most of the house and I'm deciding between this and anti-microbial barrier of similar thickness for the bathroom and kitchen.

Does this have anti-microbials in it? Did not see it in the brief description.

                                Per the manufacturer:
                                QuietWalk:
We add an EPA approved antimicrobial called Aegis. It permanently attaches to the fibers and will not "leach out" to cause environmental concerns as with Microban or UltraFresh. Aegis has a physical action (non-chemical) against microbes and has been proven effective after 40 launderings.

In addition to the antimicrobial action of Aegis, our manufacturing process involves heating the pad to over 325degF which will kill any existing microbes. Plus, QWP is predominately synthetic fiber based, which is not a microbe food source.

Based on my research of "Marley dance flooring" this thin dense flooring underlayment would not provide the cushioning benefit that is recommended.

However, there is one room in the basement (theater room) that has raised floor with particle chip wood boards as sub floor. Can this underlayment be installed on chip-wood boards (without 6 mil vapor barrier for this room) and then float laminate on top?
