Comments about Dream Home Quiet Walk Underlayment:

The floor was used in a rental. My new tenant is thrilled as it looks great and the under padding gives a very soft warm feel. I don't know about the installation as my handyman put it in but it seemed to be easy enough to install.

Had installed 800 square feet of Laminate flooring a few years ago and the product has worked very well. I am installing another 600 square feet in the bedrooms and using this product again. Lays out well and it really does kill a lot of the noise. Great product!

I live in an downstairs condo. Our project doesn't allow hard service flooring upstairs due to noise. My new upstairs neighbors want to put in a hard service floor. WILL THIS UNDERLAYMENT REALLY PREVENT NOISE FROM THE UPSTAIRS UNIT OR WILL I SUFFER?

It will help "muffle" the sound but depending on the floor ceiling assembly that exist I cannot predict how effective it will be.

We have hardwood floors in the coop we just bought. The floors creak a lot and footfall noise is transmitted clearly to our neighbor below who is noise sensitive. My wife wants to use area rugs instead of wall to wall carpeting. I was thinking of putting a floating floor down with your underlayment to help reduce the impact noise. We will use area rugs also. Is this worth doing. Will it significantly reduce impact noise. thanks.

You can reduce much of this noise and still have our flooring. Use proper length wood screws and screw your current flooring or sub-flooring over the floor joists where the noise is apparent. After securing the subfloor you can float a wood engineered, floating bamboo, or laminate flooring over a a sound deadening underlayment.
