I read with interest all the negative comments about the product. Builder Pride didnt let us down. Virtually no waste out of 26 cartons and each piece is gorgeous. A great buy for us. we did the living, dining, kitchen, halls and love it

Comments about Builder's Pride 3/4" x 4" Red Oak:
The floor [...] looks great. We installed the floor in an old home with floors that aren't level and flush in all spots. Don't skimp on the prep work as these thicker boards are less forgiving. The milling on the boards was within allowable limits, but if you don't pay attention you will end up with large gaps. Some of the widths and thicknesses varied up to 1/16th of an inch. The short boards were the worst culprits and eventually we just scrapped all of them.We considered the Bella Wood equivalent, but felt this was a good value. If the finish doesn't last as long that is fine because sanding and refinishing will level all the edges of the boards.

When building our house we worked with LL and they were great. So much so we purchased 3600 sq. ft. of Builders Pride Red Oak prefinished flooring. We get compliments regularily on the floors beauty. We are satisfied with its' durability and ease of cleaning.I am a bit surprised that the flooring scratches somewhat easily but we are careful when moving furniture, use "pads" and no high heels (sorry). If you take a little care, you will love this flooring for years to come[...]

Builders pride is top notch quality hardwood floor at an affordable price. The finish is awesome and very durable, beautiful grain in the wood. Cons just one:I've noticed just about every hardwood floor has warped boards in every batch so you have muscle them in with a chisle into the subfloor or use the powerjack to sock them in tight while nailing.I installed this floor over old toungue and groove pine sheething subfloor with 15LB felt paper and it is quiet.Great stuff would buy again.See pic below.

Comments about Builder's Pride 3/4" x 4" Red Oak:
This flooring was fantastic. After opening the boxes of flooring, and stacking into piles of like sizes, I found virtually no warped or split pieces. Because there was virtually ZERO waste, I was able to return two boxes that were not needed from my original calculations. My floor is absolutely georgeous. I would recommend this product to everyone looking to upgrade their living space.

Comments about Builder's Pride 3/4" x 4" Red Oak:
Used in our whole main level: entry, living room, dining room, kitchen, and laundry/hall. Wide plank installs quicker because you have fewer rows to install. It also shows off the beautiful color and grain variations MUCH better, rather than blending into an indistinguishable blur of wood as narrow planks often do.
If you are a handyman hoping to install it yourself, keep in mind that the wider planks do not bend into place as easily. You will need the proper equipment to acheive that seemless look.
We have a 35-pound dog, and his nails are causing a few scratches when he gets excited. We will put down a few rugs and not get him riled up to avoid damage.
Two of the rooms that now have this product were previously carpet. I was impressed with how much the hardwood brightens a room by reflecting a lot more light. Even with a medium color like this, the rooms were all remarkably brighter than they were with carpet or even the vinyl from before.

I am looking for 2" x 1/2" red oak hardwood floor. I need to install in my closet however I cannot find 2" flooring online. It appears that these are individual planks so, I don't think they are two 2" planks stuck together. Could you help me find this size solid hardwood flooring? Or if you are able to get this, can you please notify me.1 answer
A:
There are a few floorings that come 1/2 x 2 1/4, however they are not red oak. There is a mocha oak. Thank you
