Good price. Stain nice. Had to exchange a couple - no problem with the exchange.
Comments about 48" Red Oak Tread:
After ripping out the carpet and attempting to strip the 100yr. old paint off my stairs I decided to just go with new treads. These were easy to cut/rip on a table saw and look like a million bucks compared to the beat down old treads we uncovered.
Comments about 48" Red Oak Tread:
Beautiful sturdy stairs.
Comments about 48" Red Oak Tread:
We did not want carpeting on the stairs in our new home. We removed the treads and replaced them from red oak treads and new risers from Lumber Liquidators. We got the best price and great service. The stairs were installed and look great!

Comments about 48" Red Oak Tread:
Great price and quality. Only downside for me is the limitation of size needed. I know you can't have every size for purchase, but, I ended up with a lot of waste because I needed a size that was between the two available. Hate to be wasteful.

The quality was excellent. However,we asked for treads finished on the right side but got treads unfinished on both sides.

I am installing virginia mills copacabana curupay. I need to know what stain color/number from any particular company will match the flooring being installed?1 answer
A:
The stains used on Virginia Mill Works flooring are a custom mix that is unavailable for purchase at any retail location. It will be hard to stain red oak to get an exact match of a curupay wood product. Your best bet to find a close stain to apply to unfinished red oak to make it match the color of the Virginia Mills copacabana curupay floor is to have a paint store match the color for you.Q:

A:
The best way is to have the riser sit down over the tread (start at the bottom & work your way up).Q:
Do you have to sand before staining? Beside the treads and risers is there anything else I would need to purchase before calling my installer?1 answer
A:
Yes. Although these are pre-sanded from the factory, it is still recommended to prep these for stain and finishing.Q:
