I installed about 400 sqft of this flooring myself in a weekend with a couple friends. This product is very easy to install...the toughest part of the whole project was tearing out the old carpet/laminate. Very few boards were damaged (maybe 3 total), and imperfections (like scratches) were rare.
The finished product turned out great. The color looks good, especially the slight variations in color from board to board. The floors feel solid under foot and seem to hold up well to abuse from two young kids and a dog. Overall, this flooring achieved the exact look I was going for...it transformed my house in a weekend.

We bought this floor for our entry hall and dining room and loved it so much we also put it in our living room and bedroom hallways. (I say 'we', but it was really just me. My husband kept the kids away while I worked. Teamwork.)
It is SUPER easy to install. No, really, a beginner could do it. Super easy!
The only real tool you need is a jigsaw and you are good to go.
Just make sure your subfloors are level before starting or you'll get hollow sounds when you walk on those spots.

We installed this flooring in our living room four months ago and it looks absolutely beautiful. I waited a few months to review because I wanted to see how it held up and how much effort it is to keep the flooring looking good.
The flooring has not scratched at all, however, we do not have pets or young children. I vaccuum regularly with a Shark handheld vaccuum cleaner that does not have a beater bar and once a week I use the Bellawood cleaner. The floors look exactly the same as day one. I am very happy with this purchase.

We installed the handscraped engineered floors in our livingroom and hall. It was really easy to install, the first run is hard getting it lined up. Because we had to go into the hall, around all the doors. Once we got the first couple of rows done it got easier. We were doing a large room so it was labor intensive. It was 3 long days, but well worth it. The product is well made, very little waste. Only a few bad boards, and we were able to use them by cutting the bad part off. The floors turned out so beautiful. We have two dogs an 85lb lab and a 40lb lab puppy. They play rough, and run and wrestle. It has been in a week and we have found no scratchs so far. Very pleased. The only negative was when we picked up our order. The guy gave me the instalation kit, and other items I put inside the truck. He discovered they didn't charge us for the instalation kit. So he took it out of the truck without telling me. So when we got home I was looking for it. My husband said he took it out. You can't put this floor in without it. So I had to make a special trip, to pick one up from another store. Other wise it was great got it in a week earlier

My son and I installed about 200 SF in just a few hours. Floating installation on slab. Not a bad board was found. Do have to work in the random lengths, but it is not difficult to do.
