We needed to replace our laminate in the kitchen with something more water resistant. Our laminate had swollen badly. This is the best product we could find and it was so inexpensive. We love it, but was scared at first slide of a chair that had a stuck grain of sand under the leg. The sand was removed and the scratch wiped away. Whew!!! Hope this is the last floor I install here.

            Best Uses

I bought this product after returning a "higher grade" flooring which is much thicker and very difficult to install. I put a OSB down first because the product is very thin. Product goes down very easily. to cut, you simply score and snap, just like drywall. No need to have a miter saw.

Be careful when purchasing. The ends break easily. When I bought it some boxes were visibly damaged and some the ends were damages. However, some boxes were not visibly damaged but still had damages planks inside. The store gave me an extra box and by using the damaged boards as starter or ending boards, I was able to minimize waste.

During installation, I did scratch and replaced some boards moving the fridge, something I never has an issue with on the old Pergo. Moving the fridge also caused some planks to unlock. So far, I am satisfied with the product, but it has only been 3 weeks.

I am a property manager. I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with Lumber Liquidators. Travis (Indianapolis Michigan Road store) helped me and my handyman, took his time with us and was VERY patient explaining the best method of installation, durability, etc. This is for one of our units in a 20-unit apartment complex that needed a facelift. It is our hope that if a plank needs to be replaced we will find it easier to do than ceramic-tile-and-grout. Thank you, Travis!

We purchased this flooring because we were on a very tight budget and wanted something that looked great but was dog proof and easy to take care of. We've only laid one room out of 6 but we are very pleased with how easily it went down, that there were no hidden extra costs and how good it looks for the price.

We installed on the entire lower level of our home. The dull finish makes it hard to keep clean. I'm looking for a product to help with the dullness. The floor SCRATCHES easily. Subfloor must be completely even. Even with a high quality underlayment and concrete leveling we continue to find areas of our floor that have too much give.

Laid this in the Kitchen, hallway and dining room. It took longer then I would have liked only because there were 6 doors in the hallway to cut around. It took 5 evenings after work to lay 400 sq ft and replace trim work.

I have this product in the entire lower level of my home (Living Room, Dining Room, and Kitchen) I chose it because of it's "resiliency". Turns out it doesn't have much. The surface of the product is way too soft and easily scratched.

Yes. Ceramic tile, installed must meet flatness requirements. Make smooth by applying a cement overlay such as patching or leveling compound to smooth out surface and grout joints. Thank you for your inquiry

                                  MAINTENANCE (Dos and DONTs)
                                  DO
                                  • Sweep or vacuum regularly.
                                  • Use cleaning products safe for vinyl planks.
•TEST cleaning products before use. Mineral spirits applied to a clean rag can be used for spot cleaning.
•Use non-staining casters, floor protectors on chair and table legs to distribute furniture weight and protect against scratches and indentation damage. (TRANQUILITY planks are scratch resistance, not scratch proof).
                                  • Protect your floor against burns. Planks can be damaged by burns from a cigarette, matches, or other extremely hot items.
                                  • Protect your floor from tracked-in dirt and grit particles by using natural-fiber mats at all outside entrances. Take the time to remove any imbedded grit particles from shoe soles before entering the room. Mats with rubber backings can cause permanent discoloration.
                                  • TRANQUILITY planks have good resistance to stains, not affected by most common household spills; however, any spill should be cleaned up immediately. The longer the spilled material is left on the floor, the greater the risk of permanently staining the floor.
                                  DO NOT
                                  • Do not use paste wax or solvent-based polishes.
                                  • Do not use abrasive cleansers or mop with soap-based detergents, these products can leave a sticky film on your floor.
                                  • Track in tar or asphalt from driveways, as this can also discolor vinyl.
                                  • Use caution with stiletto type high heels on your floor, these can cause permanent damage.
                                  • Avoid the use of rubber or latex-backed mats, as certain rubber compounds can permanently stain vinyl
(Consult the mat manufacturer to determine if the backing is safe for vinyl planks).
                                  • Avoid exposure to direct sunlight for prolonged periods; this can result in tile discoloration. Excessive temperatures might cause tile expansion or edge curling. During peak sunlight hours, the use of drapes or blinds is recommended especially on patio doors, etc., that receive intense sunlight

I have resently installed the Rio Rosewood vinyl throughout my house and 3 months later, I am having an issue in several places with the planks not staying together. Should I glue the planks together? What is the best way to remedy this?

I recently installed Tranquility vinyl plank flooring. I am not crazy about the semi-dull finish. Can I apply a coat of poly over this flooring or can I use a wax coating such as Mop n' Glo or some other brand of liquid wax? Thanks!

We can only recommend our Bellawood Floor Cleaner, or cleaners that are safe for water based urethane finishes. Never use any polish, wax, oil soaps or cleaners that add shine to the floor. In addition, we do not recommend using steamers or wet-jet cleaning systems for hardwood because spraying can collect moisture in between board edges. The use of these products is at your own risk.

When installing vinyl planks over a wood subfloor would I need to use a moisture barrier (silpaper/ felt) between the wood and vinyl? If not, would there be an issue with moisture build up (sweating) under the vinyl?

I am in the process of building a house and am considering this product for my flooring, however I am a little apprehensive about installing it on the stairs. Do they manufacture all the required trim pieces for stair installation? Also would it need to be fastened down or glued on the stair treads?

I have a sunroom that has its own heating and cooling system. We turn the system off at night and I'm wondering if this product will handle the fluctuations in temperature, especially in the winter months when we only turn the heat on when we are going to use the room for watching TV or reading. Currently the room is carpeted but it is hard to keep clean from daily wear in addition to the traffic pattern.
