It was fairly easy to install along the long edges, but the ends were a challenge, especially in tight spaces even when using the recommended tools. I have installed oak hardwood and several laminate floors, but joining the ends on this flooring was a new experience. The finished kitchen floor looks and feels great. We are strongly considering this flooring in our adjoining family room.
Once I see how well it holds up I may add the 5th star.
Service and delivery comments:
Make sure you check for color continuity before beginning. One box was much, much darker than the rest, despite assurances that there was uniformity in the dye process and any differences would be minor. The installation was put on hold until a matching box could be found and happily the manager took the one box back and began working with other stores to find us a match. He was not having much success, but as we live in an area where there were two other stores within a reasonable distance, my wife went to another store that had the product in stock, found a match and the 2 stores worked out the exchange. Very happy with the customer service!

Product is used in the living room and dining area. Two large rugs are laid over parts of the floor and a smaller one near the entry. But there is a lot of cork showing. We were fearful it was too dark at first, but it serves to throw all of the rugs and furniture into nice relief. And showd off the wood windows well.
There were more imperfections in the surfaces of the panels than expected, but the product is satisfactory for the price. Ten years ago, I laid a cork floor in a kitchen myself and found zero imperfections in the product I used then, but it was more expensive.
I think the installers should have eliminated a few of the panels as defective. However, the imperfections do not detract from the esthetics with which we are very pleased.
We had to lay the TV cable in the 1/2 inch left around the edge of the floating cork. In one corner, the installer did not leave enough room to round the corner so the cable would not fit in the space at that point. Fortunately, this spot is hidden under a heating element and is not noticeable to guests and does not bother us either. The problem is in a spot where the panel could be changed out, with some difficulty, but we have not called the installer on it.
Overall, we are very pleased with the product.
Service and delivery comments:
The only problem we had is that a finish piece, stair nosing, was included, but there were no stairs to cover. There was a defective red oak baseboard shipped. Both have been returned, but we have not yet seen the price on the baseboard deleted from the total charges after trying to get the problem solved several times.
The workers were always courteous and tried to be helpful, but follow through on details mentioned above was less than spritely.

The product is beautiful and was easy to install. It is an excellent alternative to tile, and is much softer under-foot than tile. I would recommend this to a friend. My only negative comment is regarding the "T" molding/trim. I omitted it from the installation because it was too high in profile. I wish LL had a product that was more "flush."

Too early to give full comment - I'm sure we will encounter issues (hopefully minor) as time passes, so I don't want to rave too much.

Make sure to start with a solid straight edge, whether it be the wall or nailed in board. To hammer in, use a scrap piece of floor, click it into the floor piece that you are installing and knock on the scrap piece with the block from the tool set. This eliminates breaking the piece you have installed. We also found that if you use some silicone spray on the tongue it helps to slide it in easier and will not hurt the floor if you get it on it. Wipes right off. Take your time. After you install four rows, pull the floor away from the straight edge (remove nailed board, if using one) and slide back to the appropriate distance from the wall for expansion and keep on going. The corners of the board pieces may need to pulled off in order to assure an even fit. You will note that these may look broken but are not. If you find the corners are not flat, remove piece and check to see if this corner piece is causing the corner edges to be uneven. It is beautiful and attractive. We removed our carpet and are extremely happy with our decision.
Service and delivery comments:
The staff at the Sun Prairie/Madison store were very helpful, friendly and encouraging. The product arrived promptly. Out of 8 boxes, only 1 board was damaged and couldn't be used.

The Rossio Cork flooring is beautiful. Unfortunately the panels do not fit as snuggly together as other floating floors I've used. Now that I look at pictures online I can see this is a common problem. I would not buy this again.

Your existing floors need to be perfectly flat even with underlayment fabric. Tapping is required to join and seat the joints, and if you tap to hard, it destroys the cardboard mating surfaces of the interlocking joint. You have to scrap the entire plank then. Some joints work perfectly, but a majority did not. Installation took way to much effort. Big disappointment.

- Use a fine tooth table saw blade for all cuts; reduces chances of chipping which may ruin the whole use of an individual piece.

This was put in 3 bathrooms and the laundry room. It feels warm to the feet and is easy to clean, simply dust mop. A little concerned about getting water on it.

Since this is soft and cushiony, how does floor hold up with furniture on it? wouldn't the furniture leave marks or indents on floors from the legs?1 answer
A:
Yes it could, I would recommend purchasing furniture floor protectors to help minimize permanent denting to the cork flooring.Q:
We are replacing carpets in a bedroom because the dog has been peeing on them. They were very dark, and we couldn't see to clean it properly. If the dog pees on the cork flooring, will it ruin the flooring? Or is it safe enough if cleaned up? How porous is the surface?1 answer

We'd like to put this flooring in our 3 bedrooms; the rest of the house is oak. Will it match up nicely with oak? Also, one family member uses an electric wheelchair which weighs about 200-250 lbs., plus the person-never mind her weight! The chair makes quick turns, pivots and stops. Will this floor stand up to this type of wear and tear? Our present carpet is pulled loose and saggy in the walkway. Sometimes water gets spilled. Will it cause a stain and if so, could we replace the damaged square(s)?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
It would match oak nicely however, being in a heavy wheelchair myself, I'm not sure I would use cork. Hardwood or a high warranty laminate flooring may be a better choice.
