All natural wood products can scratch or dent. While our finishes are some of the best in the business they will scratch as will any. Our higher warranty solids are more scratch resistant than this flooring. If all precautions are taken ie, "Have a no shoes policy as much as possible. Use felt pads on all furniture. Sweep often." then there isn't a problem, however when you factor in pets, shoes with debris in treads, etc., no finish will completely withstand certain stresses.
