Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 3-1/4" Select Santos Mahogany:
The Bellawood Santos Mahogany flooring is strikingly attractive, and is now the nicest feature in my new kitchen. It's one of LL's more expensive flooring materials, but the finished result is well worth the added cost. I installed it myself with the help of a knowledgeable friend. Out of 6 boxes (130 sq ft), only a couple of small boards were imperfect.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 3-1/4" Select Santos Mahogany:
Installed the Santos Mahogany in our dining room. Over an existing 1/2" hardwood floor on pine sub-floor. Initially we intended on getting American Cherry but after testing the sample we decided it was too soft for our use since we have an active German Shorthaired Pointer and visits from our 3 yr old grand-daughter. The color is not a match for the cherry but we liked it also and the sample showed that it is much more scratch and dent proof. Its only been installed 4 weeks now but looks like its going to hold up well.
I installed the floor myself using a pneumatic flooring nailer. The first 2 rows and the last 3 had to be hand nailed. I found that although the nailer only split 3 tongues (slightly) you cannot hand nail without predrilling the flooring or it will split every time.
I had very little waste. Probably because the room was 14 feet long and the boards are arranged in the carton at 7'2" long. Each carton had 3 boards 7'2" and a nice even mix from 12" to 64". There were about 6 pieces that I did not like the grain/color/finish but they were all able to be cut for end pieces. Had calculated 188sq feet so with waste allowence had to buy 9 cartons, and ended up with a full carton left.
Right now we're very pleased with the look and quality and would not hesitate to buy again.
The only disappoinment was the "matching" carpet transition trim. The color was nowhere near the flooring color and its not made of Santos Mahogany.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 3-1/4" Select Santos Mahogany:
When the floor was just installed, my whole family was amazed by the beautiful look, the dining room and living room looks completely different now with this high end hardwood floors. I had a lot of research and shop around, eventually I selected Bellawood Santos Mahogany to be installed in the largest area of my house - the living and dining combination room which is about 500 sq ft, and I am really proud of my decision. The price is not cheap but it is worth every penny I spent. I saw on website some people call Brazilian Teak for "King of Hardwood Floors", if that's the case, then Bellawood Santos Mahogany must be Queen of Hardwood Floors.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 3-1/4" Select Santos Mahogany:
The flooring has been installed in the whole house and is absolutely stunning. It was a little pricey, but so worth it. The only negative was that there were a lot of damaged pieces that couldn't be used. It ended up costing quite a bit more in materials because of it. The store wasn't too helpful, but the product is awesome!!

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 3-1/4" Select Santos Mahogany:
We installed this floor in our LR. The room is approx. 300 sq. ft. and we completed the project in two days with no prior experience in floor installation. So, while it's hard work, it is a do-able job for a beginner and beautiful results are not hard to achieve. My one disappointment is that we have already managed to gouge/scratch the floor in one location and we're not sure how it happened. Hopefully this is not a sign of things to come.
Service and delivery comments:
Delivery was as promised and with the exception of a handful of boards, the condition of the product was excellent.

Comments about BELLAWOOD 3/4" x 3-1/4" Select Santos Mahogany:
I initially installed the 3/4 x 3 1/4 Santos Mahogany in my dining room and absolutely loved it. Since the living room was adjacent to the dining room, several months later I decided to do the same wood in the living room. Albeit a slight difference in the wood grain/color, I fell even more in love with this wood. It is so beautiful! It adds a warmth and class to the room that is unmatched by any other flooring product. I was a flooring professional (installation) for 7 years and have seen/installed many different types of floors - ceramic being my specialty - and this floor is the best I've ever used. This was only my second wood floor installation but it was very easy to do; just time consuming. If you're thinking about a wood floor, it would be hard to beat this fabulous product.
Beautiful finish.
Easy to clean.
Durable (within reason - I wouldn't drag my furniture across the floor)
Easy to install.
Worth the price.

I recently had this floor installed in my home and I love it. I do notice the spacing in between the planks. Also, when walking barefoot on the floor I feel grooves like the planks aren't even. Is that normal for hardwood flooring? I think maybe I'm being too critical.1 answer

A pre-finished hardwood floor will have a certain amount variances between the boards and slight variances in height. If you believe that they are excessive please Please call our Customer Service Dept. @ (800) 366-4204Q:
