|
|
Schön Quick Clic engineered flooring is constructed with a real hardwood veneer atop a moisture-resistant HDF core (high density fiberboard) which is made from real wood fibers that are compressed into a dense, impact-resistant format. In addition to providing extra protection against denting, the HDF enables the most precise milling of the locking profile to enhance ease of use and long-term durability. The wife and I did this ourselves in a couple of days. We installed it in the living room, dining room and foyer. We've done Pergo type floors before. This is just as easy, but looks much better.

Comments about Schön Quick Clic Engineered 7/16" x 4-3/4" Santos Mahogany:
we put this in our entire basement, looks beautiful. It was really easy to install, our kids even helped. So far no scratches or dents. The varations in color looks awesome, if you are looking for flooring that is more uniform this is not for you, there is alot of varation but it looks very rich. Our basement has a modern look to it and this floor would also work in a formal area.

Q:
Can this flooring be refinished?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Yes. In most cases, a full sanding is usually not required, just a “buff & re-coat” or “screening & re-coating”. Buff & re-coat is light sanding using an industrial type buffer that removes surface scratches, cleans, and prepares the floor for new top finishes. This procedure really depends how the floor was used or abused. In general, high traffic areas; kitchen-dinette would need to be re-coated sooner than a bedroom or formal dining room. If your floors have been treated with any “non-hardwood friendly products” such as; waxes or has heavy wear patterns, or has lots of dents, then it would need to be fully refinished (Sand & Finish).Q:
What is the AC rating for this product? I will install in bedrooms and hallway, so looking for AC3 hardness. Thank you1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
AC ratings are established for laminate flooring only. In respect to Wood Engineered flooring Janka ratings can apply.Q:
Are they OK to be installed in bathrooms or basement? TIA1 answer
A:
Due to the excessive moisture present in a full bath we cannot recommend any of our solid natural flooring or laminate products for this application, I would suggest one of our vinyl Tranquility products. We have a 2mm peel and stick and now a 4mm click together product that can go in full bath areas or where moisture is a concern. Thank you for your inquiry.Q:
I'm told I need to glue engineered flooring to my cement slab. Do you agree? Is this the best, longest-lasting installation?1 answer
A:
This product is a Quick-clic product that floats over a supporting cushion. No glue needed.Q:

2) ROUTINE MAINTENANCE and PROTECTIONQ:
My installer said that every box of Santos Mahogany has 5 long pieces and 26 "half pieces" and he is having difficulty making any sense out of the proper installation. And, there is no instructions with any box. I purchased this in San Antonio and picked it up in Austin, Texas. I have called both stores and they just said that it comes this way. When I called San Antonio, they put an installer on the line and he never heard of so many short pieces. Can you give me some instructions on how to make it look good with so many short pieces in each box?1 answer
A:
Please contact our Technical and Installation department for information on how to make the installation work. The number to call is 1-800-366-4204.
