Comments about Clover Lea 3/4" x 5" Savannah Gold Heart Pine:
Very charming floor. We did almost the entire first floor of the house in it (not the kitchen). The continuity of it makes the house look beautiful. It's not oak, it's pine so it does ding fairly easily, but it kind of adds charachter as it wears. Not too many knots. So many 6' or 7' pieces that we were searching for smaller pieces at the end. Very quick to install even on our house's somewhat uneven floor.

Comments about Clover Lea 3/4" x 5" Savannah Gold Heart Pine:
Much easier to install than I had imagined. Very little warping in the boards. We did have to pry a few here and there but the nail gun brought most boards in tight all by itself. So far we did the office and the living room and the product is beautiful. The best part is...NO MORE CARPETS!!!

Comments about Clover Lea 3/4" x 5" Savannah Gold Heart Pine:
The flooring looks great but damages easily. I installed the flooring in my dining room the match my maple dining room set. It quickly began to show signs of wear (dings and dents). If anything drops on it, it will leave a mark. I have been living with this floor for five years now. I have notice the finish lifting from several of the knots. I would not install this product again.

Comments about Clover Lea 3/4" x 5" Savannah Gold Heart Pine:
This was the one floor my husband & I agreed on. I was leary about the 'scratches easy' warnings... but anything would be better than that nasty pink rug. And it is! It is beautiful!! Looks awesome. My husband was not super gentle moving things back in, and we do have scratches & dents - but I can live with them... still looks awesome. And when the kids put a dent or scratch in now, it won't be so bad. My brother installed & was impressed with how many long boards we got. He had just installed a floor up the street & said they had lots of short boards.. but we had boat loads of nice long pieces.

Comments about Clover Lea 3/4" x 5" Savannah Gold Heart Pine:
We bought this flooring for a guest room/study addition. The rest of the house has pine floors so we were sticking with the same look. The flooring is beautiful and was very straight out of the boxes, with more long pieces than we anticipated. It installed very easily with little need for wedging. One has to remember this is soft wood though; it will chip on the edge during installation if one is less than very careful with the nail gun, and it will scratch and dent. So it may not be appropriate in high wear areas if you are expecting long term perfection. We understand that and accept the inevitable "distress" that the floor will endure over time.

Comments about Clover Lea 3/4" x 5" Savannah Gold Heart Pine:
We installed the flooring in our dining room. The dogs like to sit under the table. This floor scratches very easily, not only from the dogs' movements, but from moving furniture around. I recommend using coasters when rearranging furniture, and either removing shoes or checking them for small stones, etc. that may scratch the surface. Pine, being a soft wood, really does scratch easily!

What type of warranty does this product have on the finish?1 answer

A:
Pine flooring, because it is a soft wood, does not have a warranty. Pine flooring is expected to dent and scratch easiest of any species.Q:
I have a concrete floor with a warm wire imbedded in it just under the surface. Nailing this down is not an option. I would like to know if I could install this as a floating floor? Or could we glue it down?1 answer
A:
This is a solid 3/4" product designed to be nailed to a wood substrate.Q:
Are the ends matched ( tongue and groove) or flat cut?1 answer
A:
This prefinished product is end matched.Q:
I'm curious as to why the pine floors carry no warranty, is it a less stable product, thanks, J1 answer

In an earlier question you mentioned that adding another finish would void the warranty, however, the product page says that this floor does not come with a warranty.1 answer
A:
You are correct.Q:
I want to put 3/4" hardwood flooring on a stair landing. Can I install it right on the joists (16" oc) or does it need a subfloor? What if I add more joists? Can I purchase just the number of 8' lengths I need?1 answer
A:
I suppose if you had the joist 6" apart that would provide enough support to the 3/4" flooring although a proper subfloor is recommended.Q:
What are the width, height and length box dimensions of this product. I am trying to plan my pickup.1 answer
A:
All of our unfinished materials are sold in bundles and average 20 square feet per bundle, the lengths could vary from 12" to 84"Q:
The installation guide suggests screwing or top-nailing 5" or higher, but it refers to unfinished boards. Can these 5" pre-finished boards be installed just by cleating/stapling the tongue and perhaps gluing as well? If you are not going to sand, the top nails and/or plugs don't really seem like an option. Thanks.1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Top nailing is recommended for unfinished only. For Gluing and nailing installation subfloor must be dry. Omit the felt or rosin paper and use a 100% urethane adhesive in a caulking gun apply a snake like pattern of adhesive to the back of each plank sit the plank in position and then nail it in place with your hardwood nailer and install each plank this way. This method would help to keep board expansion and contraction to a minimum with wider planks 5” or wider.
