Morning Star Bamboo Flooring is one of the best bamboo floors on the market today. It is produced from old growth bamboo reeds that are at least 4 years old, thereby increasing hardness. Morning Star Bamboo Flooring creates a naturally beautiful and ecologically friendly product that evokes a feeling of luxury. Quick Highlights: Strand To make strand bamboo, shredded bamboo fibers are compressed under extreme heat and pressure. This manufacturing process yields flooring that is even harder and more dense than traditional bamboo floors. Available in a variety of colors to complement and décor, all Morning Star strand bamboo products are finished with premium coating and backed by a 30 year warranty. And, since bamboo is a naturally sustainable grass that re-grows spontaneously after harvest, you can feel good about making an environmentally friendly flooring decision. It's simple... Using in an office; looks fantastic; easy to clean - use dust mop, little vinegar and water for smudges. Gives a very warm feeling to room.

The flooring installed very easily. The boards appearance and quality are very consistent. As other have said, it does scratch easily and shows dust/dirt. A majority of the scratches I've noticed so far are not from the dog, but from moving furniture. I picked up some scratch away and it works pretty well. In the kitchen I caulked the boards together, but in the living/dining room I did not. You can hear the boards shift a bit when you walk on them where I didn't caulk. I would recommend this floor if you like it's look, but I probably wouldn't install it again.

We placed this flooring in our living room and hallway. It is so beautiful, and it was easy to install. I may have to order more for my bedrooms now!

a dark wood will show a hairline scratch more obviously than a light wood. but I'm sure I can touch it up with brown marker.
I absolutely love how it looks with my mango walls, but I can't imagine it not working with a variety of tones. Stay away from blues and purples!

Installed in the livingroom, dining room and kitcher (all open)
Color is nice.
I would not recomend this product. I was excited when we chose it and could not wait for it to be installed. I quickly became very disappointed with it. It shows everything, foot and paw prints. Some of the boards are starting to warp but not in the kitchen area and there were no spils in that area either; I can't figure that out! I do not have children or a lot of traffic.

Unless you're using this in a low-traffic area with an area rug, like a dining room, STAY AWAY! Definitely avoid using in a kitchen unless you enjoy mopping several times a week to keep it looking nice. Also, take great care as it scratches very easily and they show terribly (Even from empty, plastic coolers--"extremely hard and durable"? Not so much.) I thought we had researched so well and were excited about our purchase, but less than a day later I was wishing I could have my old oak floor back. The finish shows everything- nearly as bad as the white vinyl floor we tried back in '91. (Mop & within an hour of normal family life it starts looking bad again.) Comparable mistake, only this was more expensive. Maybe a lighter color wouldn't show dirt or scratches as badly???

We installed this floor in our connecting living room/dining room. Our space is not super big, but this color and size looks very nice.
The tongue and groove install made even a unexperienced installer do a great job.
Service and delivery comments:
We own a truck, so we picked up the product
All of our product was in good condition
We did get a quote from the professional installer which our product was ordered from their measurements. We had more wood than we needed, and incorrect trim pieces. But when we took the overage back for a refund and order the correct trim pieces, we had no issues. Customer Service was helpful and courteous, we were treated with respect.

I am pretty disappointed with the product. Purchased and installed in basement due to the damp nature (though it is an exposed basement). Also have 2 dogs and 2 young kids, so it should be easier to clean than carpeting.
Vacuumed the floor the day install was complete and the plastic wheels on the vacuum left visible scuffs in the surface of the floor. I expected a bit from the dogs, which there is, but only minor. The warranty does not cover the surface finish.
The floor is shinier than the samples and the display and you can see every foot and paw mark, though it does clean easy.
2 weeks after the install I found 2 dents in the floor surface where the top dark layer has exposed the lighter inside color of the bamboo. Thankfully I had a wood marker to diguise the marks, but with the hardness rating of the product I should not have expected this. Especially with the basement area not completely finished and not being actively used. I am hoping that it was just a flaw in the boards that we did not notice on install.
For the amount of money that we spent on the floor, I am just sick to my gut at the damage the floor has sustained and the early deterioration of the surface.

Q:
I had the floors installed this past weekend and notice spots of adhesive and also an oily residue on the floors that appears to be from the adhesive remover used by the installer. How do get rid of the oily residue?1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Once dry - Success has been made with mineral spirits but better is Bostik's Ultimate Adhesive Remover or Mapei Remover followed by a water damp rag to remove the adhesive remover before it can damage the finish. Hand buff. It seems that the remover dilutes the adhesive but when not completely removed the diluted adhesive dries on the finish leaving a residue. Try the remover as described above and repeat as many times that are necessary.Q:
Other then the Bellawood spray on a terry cloth mop, what else can I wipe this floor up with ? I have this floor in hallway, livingroom and dining room. WE LOVE IT.1 answer
A:
We can only recommend our Bellawood Floor Cleaner, or cleaners that are safe for water based urethane finishes. Never use any polish, wax, oil soaps or cleaners that add shine to the floor. In addition, we do not recommend using steamers or wet-jet cleaning systems for hardwood because spraying can collect moisture in between board edges. The use of these products is at your own risk.Q:
My question: are the edges Beveled on SKU# 10024670 BamBoo Scerlet Antique Barn 1/2 X 5" Stranded flooring, and are the boards random lengths??1 answer
CUSTOMER CARE
A:
Yes they have a micro-bevel. Lengths are all 72-7/8"Q:
